Say what you will, you're not going to convince anyone that you think Bracken is the team to beat in the 10th.

Obviously everyone doubts my sincerity about BC since I'm from Augusta and that's a little difficult for me to understand because anyone who knows me knows that I've been around this game for a long time (yes I'm old) and I try to be positive about what I post regardless of who it involves. Clearly, I can't change that so I'll quit trying. I'll focus on making peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. NOW THAT WAS A JOKE GUYS..............

Crawford has the height advantage but Williams has the speed and athleticism advantage. I've been high on Pig's defense ever since he shut down Beetel Bolden last season. I've watched Pig and Austin grow up playing against eachother since the 3rd grade AAU days. I also don't beleieve in the whole "young" spill with Crawford, anyone who knows him knows he's mature beyond his age.

If Williams stays out of foul trouble and is able to guard Austin the majority of the game it will show. But that depends on how the game is officiated. Either way it will be a fun game to attend regardless of which side you're on.

Always bringing up Mason's superiority. This is a Bracken/Montgomery thread! Save it for the Bracken/Mason predictions

It was an example I used because it will be the 1st true test for Austin this season? Not because of Mason's superiority. Nice try! :)

You feel the #2 ranked Indians were not his first test of the season? Interesting.....:idunno:

Defensively no I do not believe it was his 1st test of the season. Art Walker is not the defensive presence that Pig Williams is.

Didn't Austin and Pig play AAU together. I'd say he knows exactly what he's up against and will be prepared.

Man you sure do like getting on Bracken Co threads with all that sarcasam you are spilling everywhere. Always grinding your ax. Sounds like their may be some bitterness in Bracken Co. north of the AA of course.

If I am not mistaken Coach said Brent was not a pratice player and liked to work on his game on his own, but could always be counted on in big situations, where Austin works as hard in pratice with his teamates as he does in a game. They just want to get better as a team and last night was a big step in the right direction. I was a guest on Dawgs show you are refering to so i heard the whole thing.

But you keep on with you sarcastic comments here on BGP. Its entertaining to say the least. :thumb:

Well you would know all since you are so involved with the school system.

This comment is more like it, starting to show the axe you have to grind with coach Hinson. Just go ahead and spit it out so I don't have to read your crazy responses and predictions all year.

I'm surprised that you are supportive of Coach Hinson. If I'm mistaken, I'm sure you all wanted someone else.

Dont think I quite follow you friend please elaborate.

Art Walker was not on Crawford. Coach used Cody Parsley on Crawford. Crawford is good, BUT if the Indians had been playing help side defense correctly, Crawford would not have made it to the rim as many times as he did.

I did, Brad Stevens, but he wasn't available.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if this game is played in Brooksville, at the Igloo, the Polar Bears win this game. Bracken County travels well though, expected a lot more MoCo fans

My take from last night.

Moco looks good when all the starters are on the floor. They should improve as their bench improves. Most of these bench players have never really played quality varsity minutes. It's going to take some time. Jones is a nice addition to this team, they clearly didn't have what he brings to the floor.

Bracken will need some "Henson magic" to find a 2nd or 3rd option. When Crawford struggles others will have to step up and get some buckets.

I wouldn't compare Crawford's performance against Moco to other teams. Moco at times struggles to defend man to man in the half court. I still think they are a zone team at this point.

From what I'm seeing here, Montgomery County shot 50% from the floor (27-54), 21.4% from 3 (3-14), & 40% from the charity stripe (4-10). Bracken County shot 36.7% from the floor (18-49), 14.3% from 3 (1-7), & 59.3 % from the FT line (16-27). And it looks like the Polar Bears won the battle of the boards 36-26.

Anybody know the turnover numbers?

And it's hoops season.
