Ravens 33 Browns 27

If you ever want to see how bad football teams go about their business, watch a reply of this game. In fact, just watch the last two minutes. It is a lesson in two teams trying to figure how many bad plays they can make to lose. And the culmination is the Browns attempting a 51 yard field goal on the last play of the game that gets blocked and run back for a TD.

Quality of football this year has been down. A lot of bad QBs that start is a big reason.

I couldn't care less about this game or these teams, and yet I found myself yelling "What are you doing?" at the TV a half dozen times in those last 2 minutes. The worst was Cleveland, with 41 seconds to go, wasting 20 seconds calling a play while they had two timeouts left. Then the QB scrambles and instead of running out of bounds, he slides down just before going out of bounds so the Browns are forced to use a timeout. It was bad ... really bad.

At that point there was only eight seconds left so Cleveland being forced to use one of its two remaining time outs didn't matter, but you're right, their clock management would've made Marvin Lewis blush.

Two bad teams, one exciting game.

Only Cleveland or the 90's Bengals could lose a game that way... Wow.

I can't believe what I saw at the end of this game. Then again, it is the Browns so I should've expected it. I really should have.

Leave it to the Browns to ruin my 1st overall draft pick dreams

I was playing COD with my brothers and we were watching the game too. I said to my brother "watch the Ravens block this kick and return it for a TD at the buzzer for the Browns to lose the game and me lose fantasy."/QUOTE]

After watching Tomlin, Belichick and that mess last night I have no idea why NFL teams don't hire Clock Management Coaches. We all know Marvins struggles, but he certainly doesn't have the market cornered on end of game stupidity. You got handlers, player escorts, player bodyguards, Advanced Metric guys. Why not a clock management guy to be in the head coaches ear?

Wow! What an ending to a terrible ball game!

As a Browns fan, I'm not amused.

Looks like Johnny is going to get his chance after all, unless he just has to go partying again.

What will happen to Pettine is the next question. Owner, Jimmy Haslem, said no major changes knowing that there has been waaay too much turn over in Cleveland. But Pettine is 2-16 going back to a point last season (one of those wins was against Cincinnati). Cleveland has spent more money on defense than any team in the NFL and Pettine's background is as a defensive coach, yet the defense has been the sore spot this year. Something has to happen after the season. Perhaps the defensive coordinator...? But he is the guy Pettine brought with him from Buffalo and the defense is Pettine's defense.

You sound like Mo Egger. He's always saying the Bengals should hire him as the Common Sense guy.

5 more weeks of really bad games, followed by the first round of the play-offs where teams with losing records will qualify! The few good teams coming back to the back because of injury attrition, and Goodell wants to give us more regular season games.

The injuries seem to get worse every year. Maybe just because I'm a Giants fan and they have led the league in injuries the last two years.
