I've always been a Marshall fan!!! Go Herd!!! Why didn't WKU move the Championships to the next weekend? Giving all teams an extra week off would help attendance and let the players rest a week.

For 1A fans, play Friday at 12 or Thursday night? Whatever ... makes no difference, both times stink.

Doubt if WKU has the authority to move the weekend.

My mother, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and his wife are Marshall Grads. My Nephew and his wife work on the stat crew for home games at Marshall. I attended Marshall for one year (1968-69, the year before the airplane with the team crashed) before transferring to EKU, where I graduated. Yep, I'm old.

 

My sister graduated from WKU, so did her first husband. A long time friend played basketball for WKU.

 

I know a lot of people on both sides. So I really don't care who wins.

 

Go Toppers!!! Go Thundering Herd!!! Play to 6 OTs.

 

However, I don't particularly care for games on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, so if that happens, this is not the year for me to attend all the games.

WKU is the best football team in KY and they are doing it with more KY players than either UK or UL. Before you begin to argue, just remember the last two times UK and WKU played. It is shameful this thread was started. Four offensive starters, kicker, punter, and kickoff specialist all from KY. Head coach and at least three assistants all from KY and "Bluegrass Preps" pulling against the Tops. SMH

Unless you people have a legit rooting interest with Marshall, to cheer against Western for petty reasons such as when is kickoff time is really weak. And petty. Did I mention that? It begs the question as to whether you are really football fans.

I am not secretly rooting for Marshall ... I Am rooting for Marshall. Living in the KY. section of the tri state corner of KY., OH., WV , I live around 20-25 miles from the Marshall campus, stadium.
