Pulaski has had games where running the ball was pretty much all they did. I'd say on the year they are close to 50/50 run pass but that's just a guess based on reading the stats in the paper each week.

 

Kicker has been really good this season.

 

Pulaski has several kids that can make things happen in the return game, sound coverage is a must.

 

Riley Hall is the engine to everything they want to do, he is a very level headed kid on the field and I've not seen him get rattled in two seasons.

 

Pulaski's bug a boo has been turnovers...in the Bourbon Co game they (with a back up QB) threw Eleventy Billion interceptions and got in a hole, came out second half and ran exclusively for over 300 yards and came back to win the game.

 

Turnovers against NL almost cost them again, a kickoff that bounced off of the up mans leg and a pooch kick over the front line both recovered by North Laurel effectively kept Pulaski's offense off of the field for an entire half. Again they regrouped at the half and made the plays needed to pull the game out.

 

North Laurel was able to run pretty much at will on Pulaski last week, if Highlands has a similar rushing attack that could be problematic for the Maroons.

Turnovers is the key. Whoever has the least amount of turnovers on Friday will win. Weather could play a big role in the game. Home field is probably worth a TD in high school football. Birds win by 4.

I would say maybe Ryle? They have a very good QB and would have possibly hung with Scott Co. and/or beat them similarly to PC. The Highlands game with Ryle was closer than the score describes, and they have improved greatly since. Cov Cath almost beat Ryle in the first game of the year. Just a guess.

 

I saw Pulaski county play last year. If Pulaski County returned basically everyone from last years team like I think they did. Then I think they are more like Simon Kenton than Ryle. They are a very good football team especially if their qb is healthy.

Really a nice comeback to form for the Birds. These kids were 1-5 and being beat down by everyone but have rallied to have a good team and a chance to go all the way again. Terrific job guys! Play hard and get'er done!!!

Not buying it. Have you seen SK play yet? They might take 6A. Scott Co. is thinking about next year and basketball. Did Highlands play Scott Co. when this player I've never heard of was hurt and effected the teams skill level I'm guessing?

So could you say this about PC? I know that NL was pretty good, but how good? I don't think they really played/beat any big dawgs?

I'd say if they played 10 times Pulaski wins 7 of those games. Bad news for Pulaski is, this is one of those 3 Highlands wins times.

Agreed, even though they are playing much much better as they need to be, I had them slotted in thus game all along.

I agree with this statement except it can't be 100% accurate until after the game is over and Highlands has won.

Yes I have seen SK play three times this year. As I mentioned I saw Pulaski county last year twice. Last years Pulaski county team was as good as SK is this year. I have not seen Pulaski play this year but I believe they returned everyone from last year. Which is why i say SK is a better comparison than Ryle.

 

Not sure why you take such offense to me saying pulaski is more like SK than Ryle. Highlands has improved alot since earlier this year. I think highlands would have played SK much closer now and why I think they will play Pulaski close too.
