ColonelCrazy Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Scout College Basketball Recruiting Front Page Kentucky now moves to No. 1 in Scout's 2016 recruiting class rankings with addition of Monk to a class that already consisted of three five-star recruits and another ranked among the top 30. This make the Wildcats the big winner of the early signing period, as they were able to reel in Scout's top rated point guard -- De'Aaron Fox -- top rated shooting guard -- Monk -- and the No. 2 center in the class -- Edrice "Bam" Adebayo. Calipari also scored early pledges from No. 10 overall prospect Wenyen Gabriel and four-star power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones.

I believe during Monk's press conference he mentioned @GrizzlyAdams unwillingness to change his Jags avatar as having a big impact on his decision.

Early reports were that the brother wanted him to stay in state and go to UA. Reports this morning are that Monk wanted to go to UK but big bro steered him to UK to avoid 'distractions'. What does that mean? No idea. Maybe Cal keeps him focused on getting to the show.
