The least talked about thing over the last two season is Lebrons drop on defense. He is still a good defender but he isn't the best defender anymore.

Steph is incredible, but I'm building my team around Lebron. I do think Lebron relies on his physical abilities more than most players in the league. LBJ's ability to play all 5 positions and fill up the stat sheet make him my pick, but Steph Curry is damn close.

Game 1: 40 points (53.8% shooting), 6 boards, 7 assists, 2 turnovers, 2 steals

Game 2: 25 points (60% in 27 minutes), 7 boards, 6 assists, 1 turnover, 1 steal

Game 3: 53 points (63%, 8 3's), 4 boards, 9 assists, 2 turnovers, 4 steals.

That guy is maybe the best shooting coach in the world. Both his boys can shoot the rock. That's not by accident.

Steph is a better shooter, but Labron's physical tools separate him from everyone else.

 

If Labron choose I think he could play for a long long time based on his IQ.

The older he gets, I look for him to play the 1 and emulate Magic. Labron wont hang on like Kobe as he really loves spending time with his kids.

LeBron could be the best Point guard in the NBA if he ever gets the cast around him healthy and that could be latter this year. He can run the offense better than anyone in the NBA. Curry is the best offensive scorer in the NBA and the defensive efforts to limit him make everyone better on offense.

Russ leads the league in scoring and is third in assists.

Sorry, but I don't give SC or the Warriors any credit AT ALL! Everybody they beat last year had key people missing. A healthy Cavs team(or SA or Clips) SWEEPS them last year. SC is a liability on the defense end of the court period.

 

And, yes, I am still annoyed (word filter would not let me use a stronger word.) about how Kevin Love's season ended!

I think you are selling them a little short. I am not sure they would have won the title if the teams they played did not have injuries but I am not sure they would have not either. Remember, they won 67 games last year in the regular season in a LOADED conference. They played very good defense as a team. I do hope they play healthy teams in the playoffs this year. I don't think ANYBODY would have swept them last year, healthy or not.

Statistically they were one of the better teams ever, on both offense and defense. Whether that was from good fortune or supreme skill, they handled their business with ease. Once they started taking the Finals seriously, none of the games were even competitive. Had they struggled throughout I would subscribe more to your line of thinking.
