That can't honestly be your stance on 11/3/15, right? Is he very, very good? Sure. Is he potentially a great player for the next 10 years? Yep. However, there isn't one metric you can produce that would rank him as #1 in the NBA. I thought maybe, just maybe, he would have led the NBA in double-doubles last year, but no, he was 6th (Pau Gasol led, for those curious...and I'd have lost that bet).

November 4, 201510 yr I think Mudiay will give Okafor a run for his money. Okafors problem is the 76ers are play Cannan their 3rd string pg . Most the perimeter players are terrible. Okafor and Noel have stretches where they dominate the other teams bigs, then the guards can't get them the ball.

He had the best PER last year and one of the greatest in NBA history . The PER rating has turned into a favorite of most metric wonks.

But his first week of the season didn't help the claim. I agree right now you can't say that. I was just pointing there is a legit measure that makes the case. It's the same measurement Lebron fans made for him during Kobe's prime.

LBJ can still surpass MJ as the GOAT but that doesn't make him the best player on the planet today. As of today I think Steph and Russ are both playing better than LBJ.
