Lose Braden Brown, Caden Stephens, Chase Hanshaw, William Jordan, Ingles, Moseby, Walker, and Wages who I know are all getting significant playing time or starting on one or both sides of the ball. 3 of your best offensive and defensive linemen, about 75% of your offensive production.

I don't know how far away you are but seems pretty far away.

Kouns is a dang good linebacker and Peyton will be a heck of a running back. I stand corrected but the loss of Braden will be hard to recover from.

 

 

I'll continue to complain about the lack of credit that Braden and Walker get. Could start anywhere in the area.

But back to the a game thread on here. Raceland wins if they pound the ball and don't get too cute with the playcalling

If things are changing offensively, I hope its the freaking wishbone/pro that we used to run. I think our team is better suited for that. That offense has a great play action passing package and you can still spread people out with it. With what our passing game has been up to this point, you can load the box and play man against us, defensively. No real threat of us going deep downfield and no real threat to run the jet sweep. Just line em up and run it down there throats, imo.

 

Changing everything this time of year is a sign of true panic. It is also a sign of coaches having no idea what they are doing.

If Raceland is changing that much for one game that is not a good sign.

 

Nobody has really run the ball well in Russell all year.

Id say alot of the changes being made are "mountains out of mole hills" statementels really. A few new sets maybe or a different package possibly, but I cant immagine much being changed in the offense, maybe under center some. But that in itself, after you've been doing nothing but the gun, could throw things into a mad house.

 

Defensively, changes can be made a bit easier because defensive schemes change through out a game any way.

 

All in all, I will be shocked to see much of a change on offense.

Imo, a win can completely change this teams regular season AND post season outlook. BUT, a win, imo does NOT show that this edition of the Rams weren't over hyped. The only thing that can do that is winning the region, imo.

1. Raceland can certainly go on the road and beat Bishop Brossart, but that would send the Rams right back to Paintsville for the 2nd round. I don't know if Raceland wants anymore of Kash, Phelps, & Trimble.

2. Regardless of the outcome tomorrow, I think the Rams were overhyped this year. They were preseason #2 in most polls with some claiming they should have been #1.

3. Considering the lofty expectations of this team, simply beating Russell won't reverse most people's opinions of the Raceland Rams in 2015.
