I had to slap myself, as I've taken yours and some others thinking to this alternative schedule; the Boys Sweet 16 goes from Wednesday-Sunday every year and here we are griping about it going from Thursday-Sunday just one year? We need our heads examined.

 

I love my wife and kids just as much as the next man, but what's another day just hanging with the fellas? Needed. That's what.

 

Here is a potential weekend for 6 HS football games and a D1 Football Conference Championship weekend? Complaining? You need to slap me at that upcoming Pizza Pub visit we have scheduled over Christmas Break. :lol2:

Reasonable for sure. WKU has the best football in the state right now and you can see it w/out having to take out a loan at the bank.

Wouldn't Georgetown be an option? Central location, installed turf, plenty of seating

If Georgetown wins next week against University of Pikeville then they would win MSC East and possibly be in their playoffs and with NAIA who knows if it would be available.

It would just be easier if we went back to the way it was, years ago and have the Champion weekend be the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Most of the games last week were blowouts. Do we really need to have almost every team in the state make the playoffs.

I am not sure how they take or chose the teams but they still have a shot according to Cronin if they get in they probably be on the road but NAIA is quirky

TV dictates when the conference championship game is. Neither Western nor anyone else has a say in this.

It's my understanding that if you win your conference (also was told MSC east and west treated as two different conferences by naia as far as playoffs.) and are ranked in the top 20 that you get an automatic bid. Cumberland was ranked 20 last week and if they had beaten GU they would have surely been in. But since it is unlikely that even with a win at UPIKE they would achieve a top 20 ranking I can't see them getting an at large spot. In the east the top three teams are all in top 15 ranking and I don't think LWC who is 14th get in either. I'm no expert but I just don't see it. But will apologize if I'm wrong. Good Luck to them.

And yes the NAIA is quirky !!!
