Franklin County has been a mainstay in the rankings all season long, and is out to a 5-0 start. Shelby County is a rising star, also 5-0. One will have a huge district win and remained unblemished, while the other will take a half step back. Which is which?

Shelby County has been somewhat of a surprise at 5-0. They have been impressive so far, although it has come against weak competition. I'm interested to see how they stack up against Franklin County. I'm thinking the Flyers will win but Shelby could keep it close.

Tough one to pick. I wouldn't exactly give Franklin a nod in the schedule department, though. Both schools schedules haven't been full of giants. Franklin has a win over Anderson and Shelby has a close one over Garrard. I'd call Garrard and Anderson a push.

I agree Franklin's schedule hasn't been much better. However, Shelby hasn't faced a team as athletic as Franklin County and I think they'll have a tough time stopping the Flyers.

Franklin County by a couple of TD's.

Flyers roll in this one. Rockets don't have the speed or the power up front to hang in this one.. Rockets will finish season 5-5 now facing competition. This is the same team as last year they just haven't faced anyone. It all stops this week. Can't wait to watch the flyers this week!

Whoa, calm down now, Shelby County has some speed of their own, 3 RB's that have different strengths, it takes a man to tackle Manica. Franklin may win but saying they'll be 5-5 might be a stretch. Turnovers and penalty's will be the key Friday.

I want some cash on that score...Shelby has nothing but speed and more speed.

FC schedule has been no better than SC's. Might give you Anderson over N. Bullitt then again I might not. Don't even throw Woodford Co. into the mix.

I think this will be a great game along with all District 4 games. With this district, I think FC could finish 5-5 just as easy

If Franklin County can keep #44 and #11 in check for Shelby County. They should take away a (W). But if they don't, good luck stopping them Franklin. Them 2 are the play makers for Shelby Co. on both sides of the ball.

Flyers are not overlooking Shelby, this is a good football team, boys I talked to are aware of the talent they have, and Shelby beat the Flyers in 7 on 7 this summer so they must know how to cover. I will pick my Flyers but Shelby is no easy out.

Interesting Match up. Do the flyers get exposed this week, it all fun and games but now the district is on the line who steps up and gets better this week.

The district is really good, All the teams are dangerous.

In order for Shelby to win they will need to stop Vance by loading the box. BUT they also my get pressure on the QB to force him to make mistakes. I think both Anderson and Western Hills was able to do that some.

 

For Franklin County its about shutting the run heavy offense down. They will over load Shelby's hand and force them to do something else.
