I'm predicting an X Win 28-24, the BG snide will soon be over, this X team is better than most think in my opinion, didn't think so early on but I think they are clicking now that they've settled on their QB, Ridder will be the difference.

IMHO Devin Hayes was more accurate... There's a reason he played and set records at Army with his feet. I don't like comparing players, because no two are the same. But if we could compare Clark to anyone, I'd say Scooter Hollis. Both have acceptional throwing skills but both can make big plays by tucking the ball and run. I wasn't in any way dissing Clark, I just think it's too early to make assumptions.

We both are entitled to our opinions and as a matter of fact we are both splitting hairs quite a bit. As I see it we are both pulling for the same team. Go Purples!

The full time service of Ridder makes the X offense look and appear much better than their scrimmage. X will produce yards, it's their defense that will be concerning. Will they be able to stop BG enough times?

I thought this was interesting and wanted to share:

BGHS vs St. X: The two schools will meet for the fifth consecutive season. BGHS and St. X first met in 1925, with St. X winning at the Warren County Fairgrounds, 21-0. St. X won the initial eight games in the series, with the Purples scoring only a combined 48 points in those eight contests. BGHS is on a four-game win streak against St. X, winning in 2011 (28-20), 2012 (38-31), 2013 (39-25), and 2014 (6-0). Last season, the Purples won in overtime on a Campbell Gott to Robbie Lofton touchdown pass…Both schools rank in the KHSAA’s top ten of all-time wins. St. X is sixth with 732 wins, BGHS is 10th with 656 wins.

Thank you Purple88! I plan to be a regular.

I'm glad that X and BG decided to renew their contract. When the top teams in the state play each other on a regular basis it generates positive buzz for football in the entire state.

Friday is taking too long to get here

BG may lose but the snide ain't going anywhere. We're just getting started.

Again.

Football Home Opener on Friday

Posted 09/03/2015 11:57AM

The St. X Tigers kick off their home football season this Friday, September 4th with a game against Bowling Green High School. The Tigers hope to avenge last year's overtime loss to the Purples beginning at 8:00 p.m. in Brother Thomas More Page C.F.X. Stadium. At halftime, a special recognition ceremony will be held to honor the 2004 State Championship football team.

And, if you can’t make it to Friday's game, listen live on WKJK 1080 AM Radio or LISTEN LIVE ONLINE http://www.talkradio1080.com/main.html beginning at 7:35 PM. Click LIVE VIDEO STREAM( The Cube: Watch LIVE Event Broadcasts) for tonight's football game. Go Tigers!

Maybe its me but I am partial toward the radio broadcast!

Going with tradition here (that is, the bigger tradition -- X). Catholics tend to get it done -- not always, but pretty near...X in a low scorer.

Waddaya know...More points scorded than I thought. However, a win by the Tigers. WTG, X!o

Hahahahaha

If St X somehow wins this game then even though it was only a scrimmage, this could show how truly scary good SK could actually be this year.

I see BG winning by multiple

scores but if it doesn't happen it sends a signal to 6A that SK could be for real this year. This is the game I was waiting for.

Wow wrong and wrong
