I'm actually a Graves County Eagle fan, but sense I live in Mayfield I cheer for both..I'm just having a little fun..just looking forward to hopefully an exciting football season..regardless of whatever team wins the 2a championship, i think we can all safely say that it will be a tough task..

It's not the NFL....

Some have to understand there are fan bases that think their teams can not be beat, unless they don't play their best (not because an opponent forces them to play bad either), or they have a player with a boo boo (even though they will talk incessantly about their depth and how no one player determines their fate, unless they lose of course)or just aren't interested (some games just don't mean anything to them, no reason to show too much in case there are spies there from a possible future opponent)...outside of one of those things happening they could beat the Steelers week in and week out.

 

They are a good (maybe great) teams don't be mistaken, but some of their fans have the thinnest skin you will ever find.

Really? I am fond of DeSales, but even if they were out of the picture I'd heavily favor the West thanks to Mayfield, Murray, and CAL. It's possible NCC could win another title, but it would definitely be an upset in my opinion.

I wasn't even talking my team up in the post that was quoted. It's obvious that the top four teams in the west would be favored in the state title game against ANY team from the east. It's not garunteed NCC will make it either. Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Ignorance??? I never said NCC would make it, but you don't see NCC fans on here guaranteeing it like DeSales is. Good luck to u guys you will need it since the West is so loaded.

You want real talk? Ok. Lets do it. All team jabbing aside. Mayfield is, and should be the favorite. They have more pieces back on their championship team, than we do. I like our team. If last years role players can develop for us, then things could get interesting. I still think with what we have coming back on the defensive side of the ball can keep us in most games. The semis will more than likely go through Mayfield. That will also be a big challenge. I like DeSales as the #2 team in the class. I have seen CAL many times. They have a great coaching staff, I like them at #3 . I have always given NCC their props. However, when I saw them in BG last year, that was a total mismatch. Unless a lot of things have changed, they just don't match up with the top 3 coming out of the west. I like Somerset this year I think they can push NCC this year. I do expect NCC to be in BG. But it's not far fetched that they would be the underdog in the title game. Not a knock on them.

I saw the Colts first hand last Friday night. They looked solid. They are big, and athletic looking. I expect Johnson to have a monster year. Does he have enough weapons on the offensive side to make a run? We'll have to wait and see. We'll know more this Friday when we scrimmage Meade County.

Lastly, no one is forcing you to read this board. Don't get your feelings hurt from someone else's opinion. There is no crying in football.
