July 21, 201511 yr Wondered when I saw the Parra move to the DL that they had something in the works and didn't want to risk him getting hurt before a trade. Is he really hurt or are they hiding him? Can you trade somebody if they are on the DL? I don't believe you can.

July 22, 201511 yr Well that shoots that theory to crap. :lol2: Carry on. Johnny is one of those guys that doesn't give maximum effort on every pitch but reaches back when he needs it. He's not hurt, my guess too much of a rest from the ALL STAR break. The other thing to take into consideration is the he gets raddled easily ( playoff game againt Pirates). My guess is that he knows every game is an audition and let the nerves get the best of him.
July 22, 201511 yr I hate to see Bruce go but understand the reasoning. He has always been a streaky hitter but at the end of the year the numbers are always there. One thing that everyone is forgetting about is his defensive. IMO best right fielder in the game.
July 22, 201511 yr ^^^ Heyward is a pretty good defensive RF as well. Not sure if Bruce is the best but is one of the top ones.
July 22, 201511 yr Jim Bowden thinks the Reds could get Lefty Sean Newcomb from the Angels. He's a top 50 prospect and has shown dominating stuff. That would be a huge get for the Reds if they could pull it off.
