They named all the prospects that the Mets would give up, can't remember if Nimmo or Conforto were 2 of them

I'm guessing the #2 or #3 prospects in the organization will be non-starters in trade talks, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Don't know those guys, would that be a good deal?
July 13, 201511 yr IMO, the Reds need to decide what type of rebuild they are in- the all in Marlins re-build of every 3 or 4 years, the Houston rebuild that takes much longer but may have better long term results or the Phillies who should be in full blown blow it up mode but just can't seem to pull the trigger.

Matz is their #1 prospect and a left-handed pitcher. He's 2-0 this season. Only been up for 2 starts and has been lights out, including a 7 inning outing in his debut against the Reds (He had 3 hits and 3 RBI in the game too). Rosario is their #4 prospect and a SS. Montero is a 24 year old pitcher. Had a small stay in NY last season and has been up for 5 games this year. Flores does nothing for me, but maybe they could get another prospect instead of him.

Bruce would likely be gone in 3-4 years anyway so I don't think he's a major factor in the rebuild. They don't need a complete overhaul. They have enough pitching to be good again in 2-4 years if they get the right pieces in return.

Wish I knew how to link, it was a sports writer commenting off a Buster Olney tweet about the Reds should listen to what they could get for Frazier. Said the Mets,Nationals and Pirates are all without 3rd baseman, either for the season or long periods of time and the Mets would offer those 4 I mentioned(Matz or Wheeler) and the Reds should take that offer even without Flores being involved
July 13, 201511 yr If we think we can be good in 2 years, keep Frazier and Meso. If not, get what you can get for them. No sense in making Todd the new Dave Concepcion- best player on really bad Reds teams.
July 14, 201511 yr I honestly think Frazier will be a lifer for the Reds, there will be a lot of salary available when he becomes a FA and it will be there if he wants it. I don't see them trading him at all.
