In today's game yes it's worth that and then some. The main reason he's considered a good trade chip is because of a reasonable contract with years of control. But by all means continue to bash away.

I watched 8 innings tonight. Bruce had a single with a man on 1st. He also struck out on a terrible down and in slider on the last two strikes with runners on second and third with no outs. Seems like he is not clutch hitter. They need to trade Bruce, but IMO they won't get much for him.

 

The Reds are just not a good team, it's not just Bruce, a lot of them need to go.

 

On a side note, Frazier wins the home run derby and now can't one past the pitcher.

Your definition of bashing is my disappointment of Bruce's performance, which is fact. The Reds have a bunch of players that need to be traded or given away. I hope they trade Bruce, I'm tired of him striking out on lousy pitches while they have runners in scoring position.(See tonights game.)

Like I said, I quit watching in the 8th inning. So I didn't see what happened including the home run. That's great for him.

 

He struck out while the game was still a game, like you say "2 on 1 out." Again strikes out on pitches that weren't even close to the strike zone. He hit a home run when the score was 9-1 correct? Sure could have used that homer instead of the strike out early in the game. Mr. "clutch" Bruce, he is not.

 

I'd like to see a show of hands from everybody that turned the game off after the score was 9-1.

Both, he has good value so his return on the market should be pretty good too.
