June 30, 201511 yr Wade chose to take the pay cuts for Bosh and LBJ. He benefited from that too, not just the Heat. He could have been selfish and kept the money and not gotten those two. He's had opportunities to be the highest paid player on the Heat, he chose not to be. He's not worth $16M.
June 30, 201511 yr I'm in the camp that thinks the Heat kinda of owe it to him for what he has done for them over the years. Lets think about this.... The other option is to let him walk and bring in who? If they bring him back that's one of the best 3 teams in the East and when the cap goes up next year they likely still have room to add a max player. It's not like it's some crippling 8 year deal.

He led them to the only three titles in team history. He made them a go to destination. He got them LeBron which made Them millions.

This will be interesting... Shaq overall career is better, but Shaq was not the best player on the team. When the Heat won it, Shaq was still good but not the dominant unstoppable best player on the team like he was with the Lakers for the three straight they won. For the Heat to win the title it took Wade completely taking over that finals for them to win. Shoot the Heat should have four titles because Wade also played great in the finals LBJs first year with the Heat and if James shows up at all they win it then too.
