July 3, 201511 yr Just so I understand, if you are attracted to someone of the same sex you must have sexual relations with them, correct? In other words you have no choice. Bottom line for me, homosexuality is a sin, God doesn't make mistakes, and you choose your sexual partners. You either believe this or you don't, I'm in no way shape or form attempting to change your mind because it's pointless. Maybe off-topic, but I've heard that before in debates regarding babies born with birth defects, hermaphroditic, etc.

You either believe this or you don't, I'm in no way shape or form attempting to change your mind because it's pointless. I agree that acting on any kind of sexual impulse is a choice. My disagreement is the sexual impulse/attraction...is it inherent or chosen? I see it being both. I don't think all who lead a homosexual lifestyle were born that way, but I believe many are. The New Testament talks about humans having a sinful nature. Left to ourselves, we will sin because it's in our nature. The push made by New Testament writers is to resist the sinful nature and replace it with the Spirit of God.

Put another way doesn't that imply (or flat out say) that in some cases nature (natural) is a sin? And if so, that is definitely the tail wagging the dog.
July 3, 201511 yr Put another way doesn't that imply (or flat out say) that in some cases nature (natural) is a sin? I would say that the decision to commit sin is always a choice & not something we can blame anyone for, except ourselves. But the desire for sin is with us from the time we are born.

July 3, 201511 yr If you read the post you quoted you can't help but shake your head. To answer your question the answer is no. Allow me to offer up an explanation. We are separated from God by sin and we ALL sin. In order to have a close, personal relationship with God we must accept his offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. Of course that's my belief and obviously some with disagree. This part of Mexitucky's post is something you hear a lot. "I would say that a gay couple raising a child with love, respect, and compassion is closer to Christ's message than the hillbillies I see yelling at their kids at Target." Although this may be true, being closer to Christ than another bad person isn't good enough, you need Jesus. Forget about religious beliefs for a moment, is your goal to be better than the hillbilly that yells at his/her kid at Target? Of course Mexitucky also believes in evolution/science but doesn't seem to mind that the same scientist that have discovered unbelievable genetic traits can't find a homosexual gene. I know the answer is no.
July 3, 201511 yr This is the beginning of the end for the good ole US. All this people attractive to the same sex is wrong plain and simple. I applaud people that will stand up for what is right. Those 2 clerks will be made into present day persecution.

Gay marriage is not the "beginning of the end of the U.S.., Although many who are against it may be hoping that their very bold and ridiculous prediction comes true.
July 3, 201511 yr Yeah, OK! LOL Flash back to the 50's and 60's and people were saying that about civil rights and inter racial marriage. Gay marriage is not the "beginning of the end of the U.S.., Although many who are against it may be hoping that their very bold and ridiculous prediction comes true. You are completely wrong. The ones against this in godly act hope that this isn't the end and God will spare the U.S. So these people will be saved. This is completely different than what you are proclaiming.

This is completely different than what you are proclaiming. No, I am completely correct! Two people in love and some say that will bring down the U.S., yet all of the horrible actions of this nation and others did not get His attention. People have been prediction (some hoping) that an event, law, or situation will bring down the U.S.. Where does the Bible mention the U.S.?

I really don't think that anyone that's against this hope this is the end. And this is completely different than the civil rights movement.

BTW... homosexuality is a natural biological reality amongst many worldwide, and has existed as far back as history can tell. Not at all a new trend. Although statistically there are more natural heterosexuals in the world, homosexuality, although found in statistically less humans, is still very much one real entity of the human condition developing naturally for a very significant number of people in every corner of the world. Asexuality, an even lesser found statistically form of a sexuality, still exists in about 2% of the world's population, and too is just another real entity of the human condition. Just as there are statistically and significantly less red haired people worldwide by no choice of their own compared to all of the possible hair colors, still red hair is a legitimate natural hair color and a very true human reality. Perhaps some sexually inclined heterosexuals, because they are in the majority, merely have trouble understanding the bigger picture of the biological reality of the human condition, and instead of examining its reality with a sense of realism, tend to be effected by their personal feelings that the idea is so foreign to them that they knee-jerkingly deem it to be, as you have described "wrong plain and simple". Since you're the solid deep thinker that you are, I have faith that you should have no trouble understanding this.
