Kyrie Irving's MRI was at Stanford Sports Medicine Clinic, which revealed a fractured left knee cap. Surgery will be in Cleveland soon.

I feel like this NBA postseason has been completely defined by injuries at a level I can't ever remember. How many teams have been without at least one major contributor?

I concur with both you guys. We were talking about injuries having a major effect early in the playoffs, and the trend just continued. I've been watching the NBA a long time and never remember anything like this.

I still burn from the manner in which Kevin Love's season ended. To me, that was intent to injur. The Cavs most likely miss out on a championship, and the perpetrator gets a 1 game regular season suspension.

I said on Twitter last night that he has the body of Uncle Drew.

 

He played what...13 games in college? Never has made it a whole season without getting injured. Should we be surprised that he can't last in the playoffs? I don't think he'll ever have a body that can stay healthy. He's yet to do it.

I said in another thread that Kyrie is someone we will look back on and think he never reached his potential because of injuries.

They talked about this in the game last night. Every opponent the Warriors have faced in the playoffs had an injured point guard.

 

It really is a shame because Irving was showing me stuff I had never seen out of him. He played great defense on Curry last night, a level I didn't know Irving had in him.

 

Dellavadova is going to have play a heck of a lot better defense than he did in his limited minutes last night. The Warriors did an excellent job picking Delli off. I would game plan that Delli follows Curry around the picks. Don't go under and don't switch. I would give that a try and see how it works. Make Curry shoot the ball inside the arc.

Maybe not. With Irving and Love and James on a Mission, the Cavs had a real shot. Really hate seeing these injuries.

I don't think it would've made six games with him. Offensively he is fine but defensively he's way off. With that being said only Kyrie and Mosgov were the on + guys for Cleveland.
