rjs4470
I'm sure you've stated this before, but why have you closed the door on Hillary? I only ask because I like hearing why people don't vote for a person running for office as a member of their political party. I have heard other Democrats say they aren't voting for her. I personally see her in a similar light as Mitch McConnell (very influential, very electable; but sleazy & unlikeable). I see her as very electable, especially when you consider her stance on most social issues (women's, minority's and gay rights for example), her ideas concerning education, and the environment, and like it or not, her experience (senator, first lady, Secretary of State, and 40 years of experience in the arena). I'm not sure I'm ready to throw my complete support her way, but I'm certainly leaning that way considering the candidates that are currently out there. Yes, she has some warts, and some are pretty big. But she is a compelling candidate.
Randy Parker
I see her as very electable...But she is a compelling candidate. I agree with all of that. I still think, like Mitch (and others), that she's filthy dirty.

ggclfan
Well it took 61 posts for someone to actually answer Ref's question in this thread, "Why would you vote for Hillary"? Then the same poster two posts later agrees that she is filthy dirty. That is staggering for me. I am beginning to wonder if she is going to get the nomination. The scandal things seem to keep getting worse every day and even the people who say they will probably vote for her seem to be holding their noses when saying it. To be more clear......While I don't believe she is the all evil, completely untrustworthy, unlikable witch that some would like to characterize her as, I do believe that there is probably enough smoke for there to be at least a small fire. So while, idealogically, I'm with her for the most part, there enough ethical issues to make me pause. And that's what the campaign trail is for. How does she measure up against the rest of the candidates.

After the GOP selects one of the clowns coming out of the little circus car as its party's presidential nominee, we will see, by comparison, how bewitching Mrs. Clinton really is. Twotoplace
Absolutely no vitriol from the Left. Frankly, captain, I prefer a healthy dose of vinegar in these political threads. Keeps things lively. Otherwise, these discussions get bogged down by civility-seeking posters tripping over themselves saying "both sides are to blame" or "all politicians are crooked."
