Bryan Price With Five-Minute, 34-Second Expletive-Filled Tirade

Featured Replies

His point about the Barnhart/Skipworth thing was completely off. They didn't do any digging. Barnhart was on the same flight to St. Louis as they were. It's their job to report it.

Price came off very poorly in all of this. He needs to own it, but he won't. He'll probably apologize to C. Trent today.

I love when coaches lose it and go on rants like this. Wish we saw it more often.

He's already apologized.

Kind of....

Cincinnati Reds ‏@Reds

Bryan Price – “In my pre-game conversation with reporters yesterday, I used wholly inappropriate language to describe....

.... the media coverage of our team. While I stand by the content of my message, I am sorry for the choice of words.”

Reds manager. ___________ sucks.

Fixed it.

It took a little longer than I expected but I think we finally have reached that watershed moment where it is now open season on the current Reds manager. it really doesn't matter who the manager is, he sucks. That's the way it rolls in Reds country

I will have to give the audio a listen, but I read through it all last night.

When I first heard the story I thought, "good for Price" but the more I think about it, it just shows to me that he isn't quite cut out to handle the pressure.

The one good point he made though, do they really want reporters reporting when Billy Hamilton can't bat righty because of an injury. I wouldn't think so.

In other words, I meant what I said, but didn't mean to say it that way....

Still his message even without the foul language is way wrong

I saw the original tweet by CTrent and didn't think anything of it at the time.

Price should have called Skipworth immediately after speaking with Barnhart. His fault for waiting and lame excuse saying "I hadn't had a chance to talk to him yet". That's on you.

Yep. As soon as they told Barnhart he was coming to St. Louis, Price should've been informing Skipworth. He waited until he arrived. That's on him.

Fixed it.

Dusty sucks.

Then it is simple: Don' tell the reporters.

Fixed it.

To be fair, the guy has made it very easy. He continuously runs Gregg out there, he intentionally walks a crappy Jon Jay to face Reds killer Yadi Molina, and he cries like a school-girl in the media.

Rumor is Homer is upset and will go for 78 after his next loss .
