The one good point he made though, do they really want reporters reporting when Billy Hamilton can't bat righty because of an injury. I wouldn't think so.

Let me add that I can have a mouth like a sailor and have used that particular word probably more then I should. IMVHO using it makes you look low brow and unintelligent, especially when it's part of an emotional tirade.

BP's rant contained an expletive once every 3.7 seconds which is second only to Hal McCrae's epic meltdown that had an expletive once every 2.7 seconds PLUS he threw a phone that bloodied a writer.

C Trent did nothing wrong. C Trent doesn't work for the Reds and he just did his job. The problem is Price didn't do his job. Price was upset because it was reported that 2 players were on their way to St Louis to catch up with the Reds and he didn't tell the kid who was getting sent down to triple A yet.

 

That isnt C Trents job, it was Prices job to tell the kid before he told reporters the other 2 players were off the DL and joining the club.

 

Price blew up because he is incompetent and unable to do his job. Interviews are part of the job of every MLB manager and if he didn't know that already then he is pretty dumb. He also was the first manager to refuse in game interview on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. Price just isn't cut out for the job and clearly is stressed about his job.

His team wasn't even there for the rant. I doubt it had any affect on them at all. The "fire" that has been lit under them has resulted from them playing the Brewers, who are the worst team in baseball at the moment. And even in the big win last night the Reds gave up 10 runs to a team that had scored 10 runs in their last 6 games combined.

C Trents past in general, not the first time hes been the center of controversy. Hes been fired from 2-3 different media outlets for this and that as well. Just seems, as a media guy, you wouldn't want to bite the hand that feeds you. Plus C Trent is an asshat as a person anyways.

 

Im not saying he shouldnt have reported what he did, but dont you think a media guy would/could call up someone with the Reds and confirm what hes seeing before he just launches out random tweets?

The fans have no right to know anything. It is not 'our' team. The team is privately held. Price only owes an explaination to the owners. Our voice, by not getting this type of infortmation, is not buying tickets. So the less the coach communicates with us about his decision making process only helps temper our attitude and dollars spent. If Price does this poorly and it cost the owners money, the owners need to decide if they want him running the show. If in fact he is the one running the show.

When I first heard the story I thought, "good for Price" but the more I think about it, it just shows to me that he isn't quite cut out to handle the pressure.
