April 13, 201511 yr Skipworth was the 6th overall pick in the 2008 draft and was the Gatorade national high school player of the year. He has been a huge disappointment and hasn't really had much success at all in the minors aside from showing some power potential. Surprised it wasn't Tucker getting the call especially considering he has some familiarity with the staff. Either way they are going to be hurting bad without Meso.
April 13, 201511 yr Meso was having some problems near the end of Spring training and had to miss some time which is great because they were being cautious.............but then the guy plays Opening Day thru a rain delay, then catches 11 innings with rain delays in a game that ends at 1:46 am......then they wheel him right back out there in a 12:35 day game and he has played in all 6 games starting 5 of them. I know they want him to play more but they have a decent back-up. It is a long season.

March 31st: Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco missed Tuesday's game with a cramp in his left quadriceps suffered in a game over the weekend, but is hoping to play Wednesday, reports MLB.com. "I'm optimistically thinking that he'll be ready to play tomorrow," manager Bryan Price said Tuesday morning. "[What I don't want to do with injured players] is to put them in there and find out they can't go, or shouldn't go." Mesoraco is hitting .214 with two home runs and four RBI in 11 spring training games.
