Calling the Highlands baseball team "Dirty Birds" is a GROSS understatement

A gag order must be in place because there are several baseball posters who are staying very far away.

Or they are too close to the perpetrators? I would think this one is pretty much indefensible.

That is flat out unacceptable. I assume that's a school punishment....are all involved still on the team?? Somebody pours urine on my kid, heads will roll one way or the other. It can be the kids, the coach or the administration....you pick via your lack of appropriate response.

To be fair, the Coach has little to no input on the punishment, that would all be handled at administration levels at this point.

Didn't sound like they were close to them or defending the actions in the thread the other day, they all seemed pretty upset about it.

How does the coach have no input?

I think he meant as to the school suspensions.

Baioni sent them home when he found out, I believe. Then had to wait for Administration to rule. I don't know what more he could have done. Then again, I'm just going off of information given on here.

I meant as to them (perpetrators) being on the roster. Even if the coach is somehow prohibited from dismissing them, he surely can refuse to play them.

Coach has the ability to kick them off of the team, though. If school gives them 3 days that's one thing, coach can still control who's on the team.

Agree, but he will have a say in this regardless of what the Administration thinks should happen.

Thats my point, Administration had to make the ultimate call, thats the way it is anymore. Specifically in this type of incident. Its actually a good thing for the coach.

Are any of the involved players starters on other HHS teams?

Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores or Freshmen. If underclassmen should punishment end with this season?

This surely wasn't some dumb initiation stunt was it? Not trying to make light of this stupid action, just curious. Any footballers involved?

Even if the school doesn't take harsh action there's no reason for the coach to give them the privilege of playing.

Does HHS have an Athletic Code of Conduct? Some schools I've seen have one that is separate from the regular schools code of conduct and it is more restrictive as to the way student/athletes are to act and represent their school.

I feel bad for the victim and I feel bad for the head coach.
