Ryle will float in and out of the top 10. They aren't a bad team but they aren't world beaters either. They'll play .500 ball

If their lucky!

Are they really that bad? i know they lost some players last year who quit because of the coaching situation but i thought some might have came back

My top 5

1)Holmes

2)Simon Kenton

3)CovCath

4)Holy Cross

5)Bishop

I think Holmes is the most talented team in nky. With or Without Edmonson. If they can keep themselves from self-destructing, no one up here should beat them. SK is the second most talented team and have been together for four years now. Last year the Pioneers played CovCath tough and I think the loss of Tierney will hurt more than expected. Holy Cross is a good team but lack of size hurts the Indians.

Is Niemi still the coach at Ryle?

They have some talent there - it amazes me that they are unable to put together a contender on a yearly basis.

I saw Ryle play over the summer against a few teams and they lost pretty convincing both times. I didn't see anyone on Ryle that stood out.

Niemi is still there and I didn't see any of this talent you speak of over the summer.

Holy Cross is bigger than you think. Will Eifert is much improved and is at least 6'6" or better. Sullivan and Sorrell are 6'2" and 6'3".

Last year I didnt see anybody on their team 6'6. Their center was about 6'1 or so.

Corey Sorrel might be 6'3 but doesnt play like it. His only concern is shooting threes.

Will Eifert will be a force this year for HC. He is definitely 6'6", maybe bigger.

You couldn't be more wrong from what the Holy Cross people tell me. They seem pretty happy with his development.

Sandman: I saw Ryle play earlier this summer and they did have all their players, and did not look like a top 10 team at all. It will be a long coming year for the people in Union.

No, it won't. They'll be a top 10 team, and probably win the district, though St. Henry will be in the same ballpark.

I'd move Ryle and Highlands up. I'd add Dixie. NewCath is ranked too high, and Boone isn't a top 10 team. No's three to five could be put in any order on a given night.

I don't see Highlands any higher than a 10. THey lost everbody except Simpson.

All I can say is that I saw Scott HS beat Ryle at Ryle pretty badly over the summer and both teams had all their players.

Here is my assesment....9th region teams only (Sk and BB won't be included)

Holmes- Wont come in the season ranked #1 but with the addition of Rice, they are definetly the team to beat and should walk through NKY with or w/o Edmondson.

Covcath- Alot of talent and probably the only 9th region team that will be able to hang around w/ Holmes and give them a run for their money. TJ and Bo will keep them in games with anyone.

Holy Cross- It will be between them and Covcath to see who plays in both the district and regional final against Holmes. Holy Cross returns alot and will be a force this season but the key to their season is if the EIfert kid has developed any and can get more physical down low.

After these three teams there is a real drop off but I think a sleeper team that everyone is forgetting about is Dixie. Dixie will be a tough team next year despite losing Lawson. I dont think #4-10 matter though because the 9th region representative will come out of Covington and the 35th district. (CC, HC, HHS)
