Jacobs and Bovard are both great players but their best attributes are set shots. They can knock them down but somebody needs to set them up.

 

I don't really remember TJ shooting too many "set shots". His game is to get you moving then pull up or blow by you.

Really? I've seen him play a few times in highschool and aau ball and didnt see him really create his own shot too much.

I think Todd's best attribute is as a playmaker.

 

Replacing Tierney is the key this year, from what I have seen this summer, it looks like the person taking it up the floor is going to rotate between Brown, Bovard, Jacobs, and Bondick. Normally this could cause a problem as the starting point guard is supposed to be the "floor general" (as Tierney did so well), but it should be ok because I think that Jacobs will be the leader regardless of what position he is at.

TJ imo is kinda of like Nate Edmondson. He has the ability to drive the lane and create his own shots but would much rather take a set shot. The key for the boys up in Park Hills this year is if they can get solid play from whoever is playing PG. Someone needs to step up and help compliment TJ and Bo because if one of them is running the point that only leaves you with one person you have to worry about and then they will start seeing double teams and traps. I'm interested in seeing how well CC can handle the press this year because last year Timmy did an excellent job of handling the pressure.

The guys point is still valid. Timmy T was the heartbeat of CCH. But CCH is one of the schools that usually just reloads.

I was very impressed by roll and bondick. I see them being used as the 3rd guard. That is if CCH goes with 3 guards again. You have to think that 4 of the 5 are set.

He won't see too much Varsity time this year, but he has played point guard more than Roll this summer. Roll is predominantly used on the wing.

At this point, it looks to be 3 guards, with Jacobs and Bovard occupying two of those spots, and Schult at the center position. The other guard spot is up between Brown, Bondick, and Rolle, and the forward spot is between Cahill, Grimes, and Schmerge. But due to Bovard and Brown to be missing the first two weeks or so because of football, it is anyone's guess of who will be starting the first game.

True. Although Brown and Bondick both have JV titles under their belts.
