I was glad to find out he was a freshman. Would have been inexcusable for an upperclassman. Coaches have so many things to teach; hard to cover ALL the bases before "stuff happens."

The only problem I have with it is that if you are going to run your mouth before the game then you need to face the media after the game.

 

If he had not said anything at all the media would not even think about him after the game.

It's not like this kid didn't have it coming. What did he expect to happen, he make an absolute butt of himself. Any player should feel that they will win, if they don't then they shouldn't be playing the game at all. Then to run and hide added to it all that much more. When he put it out in public then he opened himself up to any and all criticism, ribbing, jousting or whatever a person calls it.

The kid deserves it, I think that after this he will think twice before he runs his mouth in a situation like that again. "You Just Can't Fix Stupid".

If he was smart he would have hid in the bathroom prior to the game.
