Mike Brey says Notre Dame is America's Team

I would just shut up and play if I played Kentucky. I would give them no reason to wake up or get a little emotional edge.

Does that mean they are going to suck in the playoffs like the Cowboys?

I would have to agree that every other team that is still alive and their fans are hoping for a Notre Dame win.

Got a text from my college roommate who now lives in Michigan. "Go Kentucky! Hope you pound Notre Dame!"

As Marquette grads, we always hated Notre Dame!

It means everyone has conceded that the Tourney is UK's to lose. So naturally fans of every team left are rooting for ND.

Think of what a great NCAA tourney it would have been this year without UK. Who would have even been the favorite? Wisconsin? Zona? Duke? Zags? Villinova? Kansas? Virginia?

The ironical thing about what he said is Kentucky's basketball team probably has more fans throughout America than any other single school.

I suppose there's statistics on that somewhere. Largest fan bases. And in UK's case, most passionate.
