LRCW Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Why should they be able to play on their home court when nobody else can?
born2reign Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 The First Four is in Dayton. It always has been. You would either have to relocate the tournament (not an option financially or realistically) or impact their participation in the tourney by giving the Flyers a seed the committee feels it didn't deserve (or leave them out altogether even though the committee felt they were deserving). It isn't perfect, but what is the alternative?
75center Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Why should they be able to play on their home court when nobody else can? Better question is why Dayton is always the location for the first four.
newarkcatholicfan Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Boise State will win. so the home court won't be a factor.
Blue Magic Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 It isn't perfect, but what is the alternative? At least put them in a different bracket that puts them in Columbus RIGHT AFTER THEY GET AWARDED A HOME GAME. Yes, I'm yelling.
Jim Schue Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Better question is why Dayton is always the location for the first four. The city has a long history of coming out to support NCAA tournament games there.
Getslow Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 OH MY GOSH ITS A TRAVESTY AND WEVE FOUND A WAY TO GET INDIGNANT ON THE INTERNET. Dayton's playing at home so that the NCAA can sell out the arena. How many people would be there if Boise and UCLA were playing tonight?

NEERFAN Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Don't let the NCAA fool you. It's not a real NCAA tournament game, those start tomorrow.
Getslow Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Boise would advance either way. And? I answered the question. It's not a coincidence that Xavier and Dayton have been in a play-in the last two seasons; it's ticket sales .
Wireman Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 And? I answered the question. It's not a coincidence that Xavier and Dayton have been in a play-in the last two seasons; it's ticket sales . I thought it was just because they were bad, but your reasoning makes sense too.
JDEaston Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Boise would advance either way. Not so fast my friend. Dayton is winning at the moment.. 13:30 left in the game.
Wireman Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Not so fast my friend. Dayton is winning at the moment.. 13:30 left in the game. Unfair home court advantage :lol2:
JDEaston Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Unfair home court advantage :lol2: It is a home court advantage, may as well let everyone do it if their home facility hosts tournament games.
JDEaston Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Boise State will win. so the home court won't be a factor. Boise will likely win, but that doesnt mean that Dayton doesn't have an advantage by playing at home. No other team is allowed that advantage.
