March 16, 201511 yr What is the most annoying "thing" that you come across when you're watching movies? Guns that fire too many shots without reloading? Movies where everyone ends up happy? Characters who can take a haymaker or a roundhouse to the face and only come away with a trickle of blood from one nostril? Actors who clearly aren't playing the instruments they're supposed to be playing? Too much truth-bending in biopics or "based on a true story" movies? What other ones do you have?
March 16, 201511 yr The F word being used constantly...and really a lot of the cussing in general. It has a place at times, I understand that, but seems like writers throw profanity in a LOT more than necessary.
March 16, 201511 yr The biggest for me is the ending where everyone winds up happy. I hate the special effects like The Matrix uses. HATE that particular effect. I hate movies with too many special effects.
March 16, 201511 yr People who turn on their cell phones in the dark theatre during the movie. Oh wait, sorry, beautiful cherry automobiles being torn up or blown up. Car jumps during chase scenes. Always seems to be that one construction site that's always there to create the jump. I get tired of the constant profanity as well.
March 16, 201511 yr The way my stomach feels after my wife hands me the popcorn that I eat more than I should and wash it down with soda.
March 16, 201511 yr ...and when there's the predictable "shucking" of the pump shotgun to get the sound effect when any moron would have eaten one by the time that happened because his pump shotgun wasn't loaded. For once I wish that guy would get drilled.
March 17, 201511 yr Two things come to mind. The first is blatant errors in continuity. I don't want to see things like a guy ready to enter a room from the hallway, with a gun in his right hand and turning the door knob with his left hand...and then see him enter from the room side, with the gun in his left hand, and the door knob in his right. The other thing seems to be a technique that a lot of directors have latched onto lately, and that's "shaking" the camera during high action scenes. It's one thing to be used when you're getting a first-person perspective...but, totally overdone when viewed from the third-person POV.
March 17, 201511 yr Watching a movie with someone who complains about things that aren't real....like no way that would really happen....duh, it's a movie!
