Harrison County 58 Mason County 55 (10th Region Quarterfinals)

Featured Replies

Don't know why they shot so many 3's tonight. They are not known as a team that lives and dies by the 3's like some teams are. Did Harrison play a zone and Mason had trouble getting it inside?

Honestly I think the combined length of Jenkins, Thompson, and Pullium, when they were fine tuned and playing together, was just finally enough to slow Mason County down. Plus Pulliam and a couple of other Harrison guards bothered them with their shooting. Harrison hit some big shots, Mason got a couple big ones themselves and got over-excited about big threes. Props to coach Kendall for using Pulliam to pull Henry out of the post. It made it harder for him to alter shots and be as effective as usual on defense. Don't get me wrong he played well, but Harrison definitely had an easier time down low because of that match-up.

I also thought Mason County didn't use Henry enough. I was really impressed with Harrison County's ball handling and their ability to handle Mason's pressure. Thompson and Jenkins were impressive!!!

I made a quick exit immediately upon conclusion of the game - but it looked like Mason County left the court without shaking hands with Harrison County. Did I just miss this because I was rushing out, or did Mason display some poor sportsmanship?

Shocker....I honestly thought Mason Co would take the 10th.

Congrats to the Breds

Ditto. So now it's Campbell's title to lose.

Henry didnt move around much on the offenseive side from what I saw to help his own cause. Pretty much stood on the blocks for most of the game.

After the game Harrison Co. bench went into full blown celebration mode rushing the court didnt leave much of an oppertunity for the post game handshake. It just got lost in the excitement.

Congrats to Harrison Co. and Coach Kendall on the win. Definitly have a legitament chance to be in the finals Tuesday night if they can get by Scott.

Where is that thread " can mason win the state " ?

It's all good. My team might have to end up putting theirs on markdown as well ... but I doubt it. :dancingpa

Also, I'm not sure, but there may have been a decision to avoid a post-game handshake after a couple of small altercations happened in the third. I've seen how small amounts of bad blood can explode during a handshake, especially after an upset.

Late to the party but so much for Mason being the hands down favorite like a lot of us thought.

I did see the coaches did shake hands after the game.
