Harrison County 58 Mason County 55 (10th Region Quarterfinals)

Featured Replies

Did I just hear right on WFTM, MaCo(5-23 from 3)?

Yep.

And Dorian Henry only gets 10 shots

Shocker....I honestly thought Mason Co would take the 10th.

Congrats to the Breds

The last time Harrison County faced the Royals in the 10th Region Tournament Harrison won 60-54 after losing big during the regular season, but that was in 2005. Harrison then lost to Montgomery in the 2nd round. Good luck to the Breds Monday night.

Major rebuild for The County coming next season. They have one starter(Pig) and very few varsity minutes returning

Harrison needs to make a run this year because they lose a lot to graduation.

I thought last year should have been their year. Would love to see a Harrison-Pendleton rematch in the final.

You're correct about last year but I think this will be the last year they will have the talent to win the 10th for a while.

Don't know why they shot so many 3's tonight. They are not known as a team that lives and dies by the 3's like some teams are. Did Harrison play a zone and Mason had trouble getting it inside?

Congrats to Harrison County on dispelling the "home-court advantage myth" tonight. Team that plays better wins, pure and simple. Hit a bunch of 3s in the first half, then Jenkins took over in the second. Harrison has as much height and talent in the 10th, when they click they're a tough out.

Seemed to me that the Royals forgot about Henry for much of the game. Harrison County's length prevented the Mason County guards from feeding him. 10 shots for Dorian and 5-23 from distance isn't gonna get it done against a good team.

Congrats again to the Breds and thanks to the Royals for a whale of a season!

No matter the outcome this was a great game. The atmosphere was awesome and the game hinged on every shot. I love games like this. Hope the rest of the games live up to this one. :thumb:

Overheard someone close to Harrison program say they had scouted all of Mason's zone looks and knew they wanted them to shoot from outside. Have to give credit to coaching staff for the game plan.

The zone defense really caused Mason County problems. As stated they settled for the 3, and didn't knock them down.

Mason County never got into any flow and I felt they played soft defensively. When they came with the full-court press, I also thought that they would turn the Breds over. Harrison County is big and talented. Should they meet Campbell County in the finals they will cause the Camels serious match-up problems as well.

So far, not so much
