March 12, 201511 yr To be fair teams can work around the cap issues if they want. I've seen Dallas and Washington do it a lot over the years. The Steelers have done it every year. It's Troy that will be the stink of it all. He's gonna be either a post June 1 cut or retirement either way. Which means that they will almost assuredly add someone who has been passed over after that date. Likely a DL if I was guessing.

March 12, 201511 yr History has shown us that RBs who carry the ball more than 370 times in a season are typically toast the following season and many are never remotely the same again. DeMarco just had 393 carries. Some have used 390 touches (carries plus catches) as a benchmark. He had 497 touches last season. This from a guy who had been injury prone in his first three seasons. The guy they just let walk? He has never carried it more than 314 times. He has never touched it more than 366 times. He has only once in six seasons failed to play in at least 15 games. And if you can believe it, despite having two extra years in the pros, LeSean is younger (by 5 months, but still). And these guys cost virtually the same amount. The bottom line is this: Chip Kelly has no clue what he is doing. And I believe next season in Philly (or the following at the latest) is going to be a cataclysm.
March 12, 201511 yr Murray and Matthews will both play for the Eagles and share carries. Good for both players IMO, as well as the Eagles. Neither have a history of being healthy, but fans have to hope both do not get banged up at the same time.

The national news media announced that Cleveland has re-signed their Pro Bowl TE, Jordan Cameron, only to learn that the contract had not yet been signed and Miami swooped in and stole him away. Free Agency is draining Cleveland of talent. I understand letting guys go when they want more than they are worth, but it would be nice to retain someone! Farmer has his work cut out for him filling in gaps that are left due to FA.
