Purdue 67 Indiana 63

Featured Replies

Final from Assembly Hall. The Boilermakers sweep the Hoosiers. Both teams are now 18-9, IU is 8-6 in the Big 10, Purdue is now 10-4.

They showed a stat that Purdue leads the all-time series 115-88. I was surprised by that.

I was very surprised at this.

Purdue absolutely dominated the series (and pretty much the Big Ten) in the early years. Lately it has been more Hoosiers, but one of my favorite stats is that Gene Keady beat Bobby Knight 21 times out of 41 meetings. One of those Purdue wins, though, was vacated for using an ineligible player (who scored one point.)

The Boilermakers have won the Big Ten 22 times...more than any other school. I.U. has won 21 conference championships.

Go Boilers!

Saw lots of people on Twitter questioning how much longer Crean was going to be around after this loss.

I did not catch this one, but in the games I have caught IU, their entire game is predicated on how hot they are that night from the three point line. This game they got demolished on the boards in reading the recap. Purdue is a solid team, but still a tough loss to take at home.

I just caught a little of it, but Purdue's size really bothered IU.

I still think the Hoosiers get 20 regular season wins.

If they don't get to 20 wins, they should disband their program and focus on other sports.

So they didn't make 18's tonight? Hard to believe after some said they have the best shooting team in the Nation.

ANY Loss by Indiana is a good game. Probably my most disliked team and coach in all of college bb and considering there are Louisville, Tennessee and Michigan in college sports, that is a statement. I am a charter member of the "Hoosier Haters" union from way back.

Well, they are the #4 ranked 3P% team in the nation, so....:idunno:

Good call UKMF; I hate IU more than anyone, but to be fair, if you judge only conference games for every team in America, they are the #1 3-point shooting team in the country. I see them as 5th overall, but either way, when you shoot it at a 41% clip, you do have your share of nice shooters. Of course, they are also the 244th best defensive team in the country, so there is that.

All of that said.....#BoilerUP! :bunny:

I can empathize with the 3 point line love affair they have. Murray State is obsessed with scoring the ball from deep. Both teams are good at it, but it becomes their only MO.

It sure showed up last night. Live by the 3 Die by the 3.
