NC State 74 Louisville 65

What happens when Rozier and Harrell are terrible on the same night?

This.

Seven points for each of them. Won't do for this Louisville team.

No doubt; if both struggle for 40 minutes, outcomes of games against plenty of teams won't be good.

NC State looked like a world-beater in the second half today.

They looked like a world-beater against Notre Dame in the first half.

Then....they will disappear at a moment's notice. Very talented, but funny team.

In their 3 losses at the YUM center they have shot 23%, 30%, and 33% against UK, Duke and NC State. I think Harrel rebounded well in those games, but gets very few opportunities in scoring position. UL cannot beat very many good teams via the jump shot. That much is evident.

Tends to happen when the head coach is awful...

I have seen it in his Alabama teams and now his NC State teams.

I really think this could be an outstanding NC State team, but they will end up on the bubble as to getting into the NCAA tournament.

UL got out-toughed today.

His teams are perpetual middle of the road squads that have far more talent than their record shows. They can usually do enough on talent alone to make some noise, but he does very little to help the cause...

I watched most of the second half at a restaurant today with no sound. I don't think NC State (certainly not world beater) or Louisville played great in the second half. Seemed like both teams went for around 10 minutes scoring only 4 or 5 points each. I don't know if it was great D or horrible execution on O, but neither team seemed willing to score for about 10 minutes in the middle of the second half.

Coming out of the first TV timeout of the second half the Cards hit 2 FTs...then had 22 possessions the rest of the way in which they didn't score, while only scoring on 13 possessions.

Cards were only 13-44 inside the arc while hitting 7 of 17 3's.

UL needs to find a way to get Harrell into the post, otherwise their toast.

Exactly.

One of them can be off but not both.

Cards defense was as bad as I've seen it today. They just seemed out of sync in all facets.
