Valentine presents.....are you?

Featured Replies

Ms OTB and I are going on a trip and count it for V-Day's presents to each other......

HOWEVER.....being married for the past 27 years has given me a little insight and knowledge...

Surprising her with roses and a "happy day before Valentines' Day" card on Friday the 13th at work.

The key is the "at work" , so she can be the princess........

What are you doing, if anything.......

Shoes. It's always tennis shoes for my better half.

Got her early "Valentine's Day" flowers last night (see 2C's "14 Days of Valentine's Day - 2015" thread about that one). I'll probably cook her a nice dinner next Friday or Saturday and stay in for the night to watch a good movie together. That's about it, though.

There's certainly nothing wrong with giving your significant other relatively nice "treat" here and there, but I'm a definitely a firm believer in the premise of making my wife feel appreciated and loved all year long so instead of performing BIG TIME on one or two days to try and make up for it.

Got the wife a 10 yr anniversary ring a couple months ago. I told her it also covers all holidays for the next year. :-)

The same thing for the last 15-20 years, what you see below.......

I generally don't do presents for vday. It's usually a dinner the day before, because I don't want to battle the waiting lines the day of, and I don't want to be late. Then chocolates on vday.

A couple of years ago I bought the misses an iPad. But that wasn't so much to do with vday as it was the fact she dropped her kindl a week prior and cracked the screen.
