Report: Falcons Alleged to Have Piped In Crowd Noise

Featured Replies

If you can't fill the seats, give the illusion that they are!

Kick them out of the playoffs too...oh...wait.

There have been accusations of this in Minnesota, Indianapolis, don't think anything has ever been definitively proven. When I first heard the story, I was like, wait, this is still news? While illegal, seemed to be a common thing.

When I went to South Bend for the UofL game in November, there was a lot of piped in noise... They had mics all over the crowd and band.

Clemson did it too, which was surprising. For a school that has, for as long as I've followed them, talked about getting "Clemson loud", I was a bit taken aback by the fact that they had mics all over.

I'm not arguing whether that's true or not,but I've been to about 20 ND games and I've never seen this. Where were they?

If true, discipline them. Should hold true of any offender for cheating/breaking rules.

Saw where Atlanta's owner said he was "angry and embarassed". Imagine that. What a concept, an owner actually ripping on his team rather than excusing it.

I should clarify, I didn't see the mics, other than the ones on the band. But you could hear the crowd noise coming through the speakers.

Hmmm, maybe it was the crowd noise from around the band. I'm seriously not saying its not happening, just I've been there a lot and never noticed it.

If owner is mad and embarrassed then I wonder who made the decision to do this?

A Patriots fan making these threads is kind of funny.

Nothing like trying to justify their own teams continued cheating.

I didn't think it was a big deal when I was there, certainly not enough to really impact the game. It was just strange hearing crowd noise coming through the stadium speakers.
