Because the odds are against a school that have 200 students compared to a school with 1000 students.

 

I'm not disagreeing, but some of those schools can clearly compete. In fact many can "compete" just as good as many in their region.

 

Secondly, odds are stacked against schools with 1000 students when they play against schools with 1700-2000. Do the smaller schools deserve more of a chance than other schools that are in very similar situations? If you can compete, then you should not be "invited" to the A.

It matters because that is why the All A was brought about. To give smaller schools a chance to compete at the state level.

I want what your having if you think every one has an a equal chance. Yes, I understand what you are saying that anybody can win. Small schools with 100-150 boys are going to struggle to consistently compete with schools with up to 1000 boys.

 

Just for the record my school has won more khsaa regional titles than All A but both are important to the school.

 

We also understand which one is the bigger one. There is no questioning that.

A lot of times you can say the same thing about the Sweet 16, also football isn the same way you can predict every year the Highlands will win their State Championship with little to know competition. Am i right or am i missing something?

 

I did not start the ALL A but I am not on here telling everyone what the solution is to what you think the problem is. You have all the answer to so have at it.

Highlands is in one class and is a dominating program. You can always have exceptions to the rules. Did you know who was going to win all the other classes? The 5 out of the 6. Use the exception to the rule for your reasoning.

 

And I'll ask you this, after week 1 of the football season...did you know HHS was going to win state this past year? So even your exception really wasn't true this year. They improved drastically to win the state this year. And were a QB injury away from not making it.

 

To be honest I knew Highlands was going to win it after the lost the previous year because that's who they are. They have a great program and will continue the tradition. The only one who will challenge them is upstart CovCath look out for in the coming years.

Answer this hypothetical...Etown is a unique team this year. They are heads above everyone in the state. So it's not really a typical year with this dominate of a team. Take them out of the equation, and tell me who without a doubt wins the sweet 16 on the girls side this year. Did you know Butler was going to win it last year? Heck, your Breds should have beat them in the first game!

 

Didn't know they were my Breds but ok. I believe Butler was picked to win it last year and did and E-Town will proabably win it this year, there is potential for an upset and if Butler wins it again i woudn't be surprised.

Isn't that exactly what they did when they went to a 6A class system in Football,making sure everyone competes in the playoffs, and redistricting every 4 years?

And we have kinda different agendas. They don't want it called a state championship. I don't care what they call it if it's truly for the small schools who can't compete...you know...the way it's marketed. I would absolutely love it if that was the case.
