Actually, small schools are the ones thanking the All-A...they get to claim a "State Championship", plus go play for another one. At least if the KHSAA went to classes, it would be equal opportunity for all.

 

Explain to me the purpose of the All-A again, because I don't see the tournament winners having any problems competing in Regionals once the KHSAA tourney comes around.

 

You keep talking about equal opportunity for all? Well is it equal opportunity for all when a school has 1600 boys to choose from and another only has 60 boys to choose from? Is that equal opportunity for all? So basically you have a problem with schools that do only have a small portion of boys to choose from to put a top team together, and don't think they deserve a chance to every show they can accomplish much. The All A State Tournament does give them that opportunity. Now is it perfectly equal no because you do have some schools with 200 boys to choose from and some only 50. However it is a lot more equal than 60 to 1600. So if you are so big on equal opportunity, then you should be in complete favor of going to classes for basketball and might as well make it 6 classes like in football to make it as close as possible to equal opportunity for everyone. I assume that is what you want then, since you are big on the equal opportunity and not happy that a school can say they are the best school in the state when it comes to schools with 200 males or less.

Nope. They may have been in one or the other at one time, that I can't attest to, but they aren't now. If you or currently in the KHSAA you can't belong, if you petition to be in the KHSAA and are a member of one of the Christian conferences, that goes out the door if accepted into the KHSAA. That's why I have stated a time or two on this board that I think someone like Riverside Christian might be better served to drop their KHSAA affiliation and join one or both the KCAA and KCSAA.

Not quite sure what you ate refering to 16, but if talking about Evangel and Calvery Christian, they are both KHSAA schools.
