Is this the real Coach of the year Choices........... No knock on Coach Sorrell but Coach Wofford from Ludlow deserves this award. 8-0 in Confrence and 2 wins over Bellevue.

Bottom line as fans we have some great basketball in the 34th next year. No dog in the fight on Friday. Good luck to the winner. You just might draw Holms or Holy Cross in the first round from the losers bracket.

If you read my David vs Goliath post I said Ludlow Hung tough the first half. Then I basically said all Dixie in second half. No knock on Dixie. I think we both know the St Henry game should be a much better match up. St Henry is more talented and deeper than Ludlow. This should be a fun game to watch. And yes, if Dixie wins going away then they will be quite happy.

Did you watch the same game I did. A smaller less talented Ludlow pushed the bigger deeper Dixie team for almost 3 quarters. Hey Dixie, if you play like that against St Henry you might just lose.

Ludlow does lose their leading scorer but has a nice nucleus coming back. Lovell may be the point guard that nobody knows about and with the big girls gone from Dixie & St Henry you could see Warndorf be the next power player in District 34. Collins who appeared to be in the doghouse through out the year could be the scorer that replaces Wofford. Turner is a decent guard but if she continues to turn the ball over then coach Wofford may lose her mind. Dixie loses 3 but should still be the Class of District 34. St Henry loses so much, 7 players I think. You just can't replace senior talent and leadership. Lloyd and Ludlow return a nice core of younger talent and should battle for the 2nd seed next year.

There is a lot of talent in the 9th Region this year. You could say the same thing about NCC. Leave coach Faust alone. If he fails the next 2 seasons then blast him. Remember the cupboard is not always full.

I am sure that every District Tournament has a David vs Goliath but this was the 34 Districts version. Dixie controlled the tip and scored on an uncontested layup on a pass from Tibbs.(awesome play) Then something happened, undermanned & undersized Ludlow clamped down on defense and suddenly Dixe knew they were in a Fight. Tibbs was pushed away from the basket so Dixie turned to Davis who hit two 3 point shots to extend the early lead for Dixie. Wofford drove to the basket several times off balance and falling to the floor(No Foul). Collins & Young each hit a 3 pointer for Ludlow to keep the game close. Warndof picked up 2 quick fouls the 2nd a bogus call from the female ref. Coach Wofford with fire blasted the officials as her team fought to keep this a close game. Tori Wofford makes two acrobatic shots to keep Ludlow close and it is a hard fought 11 point lead for Dixie at the half. I stood and cheered Ludlow as the half ended. Dixie to big and to strong and to deep in the second half for Ludlow. Final score Dixie 63 Ludlow 35. Dixie had 11 girls score, Davis 15, Tibbs 13 & Bluemlein 9. Ludlow had 6 players score, Wofford 16, Warndorf 9 & Collins 5. Depth was a big key to Dixie's win tonight. 11 players scored for Dixie. Tibbs had a nice game but Depth wore Ludlow down. Coach Wofford did a good job getting Ludlow ready for this game. Dixie to play St Henry in the Finals. No David vs Goliath here. Both teams have a big girl and both are able to shot the 3. Coach Sturgeon scouted the game and I am sure he saw Ludlow play tough defense. I believe Ludlow was 15-14 on the season and undefeated in Division 3. Great job girls and the Ludlow coaching staff. Next year should prove to be the year Ludlow reaches the Regionals. St. Henry loses about 7 players. Dixie loses 3. This opens the door for Erlanger Lloyd & Ludlow. Should be an awesome District next year. GO PANTHERS

I agree that Tibbs is the key. Warndorf is just a Sophomore and still learning, no match for Tibbs at this point in here career. I will say it again. Use Warndorf and Hussien and your next big rough girl to bang on Tibbs, wear her down. Everytime they give her the ball, push her, bump her or foul her hard. Make the Dixie guards beat Ludlow tonight. Play slow with no wild shots, work the ball. Who cares if it is a 25-24 game. Play smart, Dixie has shown all year that they can be beat. Ludlow people, it is Wednesday night. Girls & Boys both play. Get off the couch and come support your PANTHERS.

Could Ludlow somehow pull off the upset of Dixie. My thought is pound on Tibbs, take her out of the game by being physical.

I was not able to attend the game last night. I know Ludlow won. Does anyone have the scoop on the game.

I believe a win over Newport would have been a step in the right direction for Ludlow. Winning division 3 is awesome but until small schools beat the bigger schools it is just small schools. Maybe this is a step in the right direction for Ludlow. 8-0 in Division 3. The problem I see is that so many schools start underclassmen just as Ludlow. Ludlow should win Division 3 again next year but what about beating Lloyd, Newport, St Henry or some other bigger schools. Don't be happy with winning just D-3. If she missed school on Thur & Fri or Wed-Fri I can see your point but she played in the game. If you plan to play her then start her and go for the win. Ludlow left the cupboard bare that game and lost. Please take criticism as well as compliments. Ludlow had a good season.

lets get a couple more wins this year. High School basketball is awesome and people just don't realize what we have here in Northern KY. Anything I have said are my opinions good or bad. I chimed in on St Henry early this year because I thought fans were being unfair to their coach. Good or bad I say my peace. I guess I will never understand or agree with coaches. Maybe I ask or say things parents are afraid to say. It is easy for me because I have no kids involved. Just a FAN.

Ludlow was missing Wofford in the All A. Wofford was better than any of Bellevue's players. And Ludlow won. I believe the next game was at Bellevue and both teams were at full strength and Ludlow won again. I want to see the game as much as anyone else but bottom line Bellevue choked at HOME. Ludlow Division 3 Champs. Enough Said.

I have been a supporter of Ludlow all year but also criticize where I see fault. We all have our opinions. All I can say is beat Villa, Beat Dixie and on to the Regionals. I may not be a Panther but I am a follower for 2015. Don't hate me next year if I follow Beechwood or Dayton.

I guess if the player was sick then why play her at all. If I planned on playing her then she would have started and see how far she could go. Get what I can from her until she says she can't go. I am sure any player would want to give it their all.

I don't think I said coach Wofford cried about anything. I think for the most part she did a good job with her team. She will be Hailed & Criticized throughout her coaching career. Futurecoach said that discipline & culture were what Ludlow was promoting. I then said the Technical could have used discipline, make a point. You get a technical, you sit.(DISCIPLINE).

Coach Wofford, I have no dog in this fight. As a basketball fan I have pointed out things on this sight. Good or Bad. You did a great job at winning Division 3. I believe you were 8-0. Bellevue had 2 chances and Dayton one to beat you. You out coached Bellevue in both games. That's why you won. I thought you could have done better against Dayton. Just my thoughts. As a coach I hope you know that you will always be second guessed by players, parents & fans. Just part of the job. I touted your team all year. Bottom line it is District time. Your team stunk and was not ready to play against Dixie. Call me what you want but just BEAT DIXIE.

I have touted Ludlow all year long. Saying that they were an up and coming team and fun to watch. Ludlow never gets talked about until I started the conversation. If I can tout them then I think I can talk about them negatively if I so desire. You have gotten airtime thanks to me. Can someone tell me what the girl did wrong. Then maybe I will change my tune but until then stop crying because someone talked negatively about the basket program. I wonder if other players were treated the same way. I believe Wofford got a technical in the Dayton game that almost cost Ludlow big time. To me that is a CONDUCT issue. Did she sit the next game. I don't think so. My guess is the rules are not the same for all. So based on what you say the culture message sent is some can do whatever with no punishment and others are treated different. Please don't tell me I don't know what the Technical was for because I don't know why Warndorf sat either.

Ludlow was 8-0 in Conference. Good job Ludlow. I think all of us wanted to see Ludlow vs Dayton as well as Ludlow vs Bellevue. Bottom line Ludlow won the games early and sorry about your luck Bellevue. Ludlow was by far the best team of the three. Ludlow beat Bellevue without Tori Wofford and with Tori Wofford. Play the game 10 times and Ludlow wins 9 out of 10 or maybe all 10. Ludlow just played a bad game against Dayton but still won. I have no ties to any of the 3 teams but I did follow Ludlow this year as I thought they were a fun team to watch. I don't always agree with Coach Wofford but this time I am in her corner. Good job at going 8-0. Ludlow should beat Villa in District play and advance to play Dixie. I blew Ludlow's horn to give Dixie a game two weeks ago. I was so wrong. Dixie was to strong. My thought is Ludlow should lean on Tibbs with the big girls and take her out of the game. Foul her, she will not like contact. Make her beat you from the foul line. Coach Wofford, I will follow another team next year but I will root for your Panthers until this year is over. Good Luck.

I wish I had kids that I could follow in high school sports but I don't so each year I choose a team to follow. Early on Ludlow was fun and exciting to watch but unfortunately they just could not play with the bigger 9th region teams. If you believe winning isn't everything then your blind. Ask Highlands people or CovCath or Notre Dame people about losing. Ask UK fans about losing. If the girl did something wrong have her clean the locker room, run laps or something but If you and other Ludlow people are ok with losing then sit your players.

I did say I was wrong about transferring to another school. I have no attachment to Ludlow other than I decided to follow a small school. I knew Wofford was a Senior and had good numbers over here career. Warndorf may never be a star at NCC or Boone County but she is the face of the team the next few years. Don't sit her in a winnable game. This would have been a nice win for coach Wofford and the Ludlow program. I thought she blew it.

Congrats to Tori Wofford on 1500 points. Makes no sense to sit a player. Tori Wofford has several games to get to 1500 points. Maybe just a bad coaching job.

If her parents move she could play somewhere else. or if she is Catholic and wants to go to a Catholic school she could play. I may have been to harsh with her transferring. I think the girl can play in the right program. I root for the small schools and when I saw Ludlow play early in the year I thought maybe they could make some noise with Wofford & Warndorf.

I guess 1500 points was worth more than winning the game. How can your 2nd leading scorer sit the bench for 9 plus minutes to start the game and only play about half the game if that. If I were the parents of Haley Warndorf I would be very upset, no I would be asking what the heck is going on. This was a game Ludlow should have won. I am asking and hope the coaching staff will answer. Why did you sit Warndorf. I chose to follow Ludlow this year to see where they were headed. Thought this team had a chance to show something with Tori Wofford being a Senior. I was wrong. They beat other small schools and that was it. Bad coaching job all the way around. Unless Warndorf was being disciplined she should have been on the court. Mr. & Mrs. Warndorf, Your daughter can play the game. She has 2 years left so maybe it is time to look to another school so her talent is not wasted.

Why is it always the refs fault. NCC has lost 10 games this year. Was every loss because of the refs. Put the ref uniform on and do some games.
