  1. NCC is playing better but no way to stop the big girl. Holy Cross by 12.
  2. This game was never close. I call it No Show Ludlow. This could have been a chance for Little old Ludlow to take a step up and show that a small school can still compete. Who was I kidding. Tibbs controlled the Tip off grabbed the first rebound and I believe scored the first 2 points. Good night Ludlow. Coach Tara Boothe never had to scream or holler at the refs she sat back and watched her team coast. Sophomore Haley Warndorf was no match for Tibbs. Senior Tori Wofford looked tired and slow. Maybe sick. As a Ludlow fan I was disappointed. We talk about the Big 3, Holy Cross, Highlands & Holms. Don't count Dixie out in the 9th Region just yet.
  3. Yes, Just a Sophomore. She needs about 15 points to reach 300 for the season. Wofford & Warndorf are easily the 2 best players in the small schools league. Wofford has over 325 points for the season.
  4. Tough game against Dixie tonight. Maybe Wofford & Warndorf can score enough to keep Ludlow in this one. So tough for Ludlow with Wofford as the only guard that can truly handle the ball. I look for the Dixie guards to control the game and if they press then it will be a long night for Ludlow. The Tibbs/Warndorf matchup could be a good one and remember that Warndorf is just a Sophomore. Coach Wofford has a chance tonight to show Ludlow is up and coming.
  5. 12-10 with 6 games to play and a chance to win small schools league.
  6. Nice win for Conner with a balanced scoring attack. Verst 12, Gambrel 10, Hurst 9 & Daggs with 8. Ludlow led by Warndorf with 16 & Wofford 14. Wofford tried to carry Ludlow but shots didn't fall her way as she shot several air balls and seemed frustrated.
  7. Maybe the All A should be the real All A smaller schools.
  8. Tori Wofford led Ludlow with 23 points with Haley Warndorf scoring 11 and Laura Young throwing in 8 points. Dayton had balanced scoring, Sanders had 9, Downard had 8 and Brssler also threw in 8. Dayton took an early lead hitting a couple of 3 pointers but Ludlow fought back to take the lead back. This game was back an forth. Dayton led by 3 with 3 minutes remaing after Tori Wofford was assessed a Technical foul, but 6 free throws by Wofford and a couple from Warndorf sealed the victory for Ludlow. It looked like Ludlow was soft after the Bellevue win. No excuse for Senior Captain Tori Wofford to get a Technical foul in a close game. This almost cost her team a win. Bellevue had several players and coaches at the game watching. I know coach Sorrel is chomping at the bit to get Ludlow on February 17th.
  9. The small schools are Villa, Ludlow, Bellevue, Dayton, Calvary Christian, Silver Grove & Heritage.
  10. Ludlow wins 58-46 over Bellevue and stays undefeated in small schools division. After missing 5 games due to a knee injury Tori Wofford comes back to score 17 for Ludlow. Haley Warndorf scored 13 & 11 rebounds and Laura Young added 10 points. This is the 2nd loss for Bellevue to Ludlow in about 10 days. Schmitz led the way for Bellevue scoring 17 while Ross added 15. There is one more game between these two teams on Feb. 17th at Ludlow. This may be a knock down drag out if Bellevue comes to play.
  11. Ludlow rolls as Warndorf controls the Middle. 13 points & 11 rebounds. Wofford scores 17 & Young scores 10. Ludlow jumped out to a 18-2 run and went on to win by 12. Bellevue made a second half run with a strong press and Ludlow unable or unwilling to get the ball to Warndorf inside.
  12. Wofford will be back for Ludlow. Look for Wofford & Warndorf to dominate this game. Bellevue will have no inside game with Warndorf controlling the middle. I must say Bellevue played a very bad game against Ludlow in the All A. Should be a good game but I will give Ludlow the nod.
  13. you don't ask your partners for help. if you do then why are you even out there. you make a call and go on. you don't have time to think about asking for help.
  14. I strongly disagree with Panther15. I believe the officials for the Holy Cross vs Ludlow Girls game were a very good crew. They were 100 times better than what Ludlow had at the Carroll County Tournament in any of the 3 games. A 65-10 game is what it is. How can coaches or fans complain about a game like that.
  15. Dixie is to deep for Ludlow. Look for Ludlow to play hard but in the end Dixie by 20.
  16. Both teams played at a snails pace which allowed Ludlow to jump out to a lead thanks to Bellevue's 1st half shooting woes. Ludlow played zone and Bellevue could not get a good shot off. Bellevue shot 3's that were never close. Warndorf played stellar defense in the middle shutting down the inside game for Bellevue. Warndorf 10 and Hussien 6 combined for 16 rebounds and controlled the boards. Bellevue started the second half with a strong press and cut the lead to two points in the third quarter. From there the teams traded a few baskets and Ludlow extended the lead to seven forcing Bellevue to foul late in the game. Nice win for Ludlow but Holy Cross is waiting in the next round.
  17. u may be correct. I just know that she has high praise from the 9th region assigner.
  18. Will Mayhaus be ready for the all A. If not, does NCC or St Henry have a shot or maybe even Newport or Beechwood.
  19. Any thoughts on who wins the Ludlow vs Bellevue game. and who wins the St Henry vs Lloyd game
  20. Yes, Kevin Rengering. Do u think he is a good official.
