Does anyone know when this game is being played? I know a lot of people don't care about conference championships but it's the only thing these small schools have to hang their hat on.

Good question ? I was told that the last time these two played Bellevue went cold early and rallied late.

Just in - word on the street is the Ludlow has elected to reschedule with Dayton for tomorrow and let the Bellevue game slide. I guess they used the RPI rating to make the decision.

Wow.....why would this be allowed to happen? Is there not a governing body that can make a decision on what games need to be played?

Not familiar with the official protocol but this sounds really fishy to me. I believe the Bellevue game was cancelled earlier in the week and originally rescheduled for this Saturday. Then it was changed to be played on Thursday, which was subsequently cancelled, to have a better chance for Ludlow to have their senior night. Now the Dayton game which is scheduled for tonight has already been rescheduled to be played on Saturday. What happened to wanting to have their senior night????

Ludlow was trying to make everyone happy by honoring all of their commitments but instead made everyone upset.

Fact is Ludlow had only one game that meant anything of these three. The Bellevue game was for a share of the conference title. Ludlow had every opportunity to schedule a day and time for this game and instead scheduled the game of least importance knowing that bad weather was forecast. It all went by the wayside as the weather did come and games are not being played.

In speaking in with the Bellevue folks last night at the game they PLAYED vs Cov Latin sound like a lot of people tried to encourage this game to be played and Ludlow did everything they could to make sure it did not get scheduled....This was not handled well and will not likely be forgotten soon ....

Maybe from Bellevue's point of view there was only 1 game that meant anything ... I'm sure the people in Alexandria would beg to differ as Brossart was left without a senior night game for their girls because of Ludlow having to cancel and keep their schedule open for a "conference" game.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Ludlow has beat Bellevue twice this year already. Once in the All A Classic and once on Bellevue's home court. There were two opportunities for Bellevue to beat Ludlow and they did not either time. They had two chances, although one was not a conference game.

 

Dayton and Ludlow have only played one conference game and that is the only time they have played this year. Seems like Dayton and Ludlow playing makes sense as they have only played one game total on the year. From my understanding, this is why Dayton and Ludlow decided to play each other. Unfortunately, Brossart had to miss out on their senior night and Bellevue on a third shot at trying to beat Ludlow.

 

Dayton gave Ludlow a tough time in that first match up. Dare I say a better game than Bellevue did either time. Who is to say which conference game is more important to play? Seems like if Ludlow wanted an "easier" match up they would have played Bellevue again.

 

Bellevue should have got the job done the first two times they faced Ludlow. Simple as that. I don't believe any games were played between any of these teams so everyone lost out. Dang weather!

Everyone in Division 3 Conference knew the only game that meant anything was the Bellevue/Ludlow game. Ludlow didn't want to play Bellevue again or they would have rescheduled. They scheduled the Dayton game because even if Ludlow lost, Ludlow would be Conference Champs due to head to head when they played Bellevue the one Conference Game. Per KHSAA, the order the games have to played are District Seeding, Conference, then any other game.

You can use the All-A as NKAC Conference games if both teams agree. It is done by Division 2 NKAC teams more than Division 3 NKAC mostly because of the max number of games is reached or weather. And that is probably because Division 2 teams do not put much importance on the NKAC games. But in Division 3 it is a big deal to the schools and it is too bad all the games can't be played. Maybe a suggestion would be to leave the last week or 10 days of the season for non-conference play and then if games need to be made up it would be easier to do?

Seems like your argument would hold more weight if Bellevue could have won one of the two games already played between them. It seems Dayton probably deserves a second chance to beat Ludlow more than Bellevue deserves a third chance to do something they couldn't do the first two times.

Well considering Bellevue beat Dayton Twice in Conference play, not sure your arguement makes much sense. The Conference Championship came down to the Bellevue/Dayton Game and Ludlow elected not to want to play that game. They chose to reschedule the Dayton game instead of the Bellevue. No one can deny the fact that game decided the Conference Championship, not the Dayton game.
