January 29, 201511 yr The white house will need to silence all the soldiers in his unit. You watch them in an interview and it quickly becomes clear he deserted. All the talk about "we don't negotiate" .. lol I thought at the time there was more to the story. I was thinking he might have been CIA, special Op's ect ect... January 29, 201511 yr Not at all. The more I read about this whole situation, the less I understand why President Obama even entertained the idea of an exchange. There were no positives, especially politically, that came out of it IMO. Because it's President Obama. He has never been accused of having a very high IQ when it comes to Foreign affairs.

In fairness, I can't imagine being the decision maker in a situation like this. Now we elect the President to make those type calls, but when the two choices are release 5 bad guys for 1 of our guys (a deserter, I know), I am not sure how I would process that. I am not saying he made the right call, just trying to put in perspective the struggle of such a decision.

Obama is horrific at foreign affairs and our country will suffer the consequences of his horrific presidency for the remainder of my life. I truly believe he is a Muslim Sympathizer. He is weak beyond compare. Jimmy Carter looks decisive in comparison.

Until we can get out of the ME and Afghanistan someone will always be screwing up. No winning in these places just a bunch of crap sandwiches that you have to eat.
