January 28, 201511 yr Author Spoke with Mrs.PH earlier today. No change really. They have inserted a feeding tube.
January 28, 201511 yr The entire CWF clan has PH in our prayers. Give him strength and give the family strength.
January 28, 201511 yr Just now seeing this thread. Purplehaze was my first BGP Friend and, even though his posts have been less frequent, he remains a BGP icon. Praying for PH & his family.
January 29, 201511 yr Author Just spoke to Mrs. PH Bad news first: his platelets continue to be low, and he's still septic. Good NEWS: He's talking...not always making sense, but talking. For instance, the nurse asked him his name and he told her. She then asked him where he was and he said "In a big stinky scrotum". :lol2 He has improved enough that when a bed opens up, he's moving to step down! That's the Reader's Digest version, but I am SO excited! Keep up the prayers folks!

January 30, 201511 yr Author Just spoke with Mrs.PH. There's no change since yesterday. While I was on the phone with her, though, he was trying to remove his tube and had ripped off some bandages. And he's been talking a lot. It doesn't make sense, but he's talking.
January 31, 201511 yr Author Just spoke with Mrs. PH. Really good news today! He's been moved to step down. He spent last night howling...literally...not in pain...just howling. Mrs. PH said she wanted to crawl under the bed because 2 people in the ICU passed away last night and PH is just howling away. While I was speaking to her, he told someone that they could come in, but all he had on was his glasses and shoes. The doctors say he's out of danger of dying, but he is still septic, and the above is psychosis related to the infection. The infection is slowly getting better, but it's going to be a loooonnnnggg road. Mrs. PH finally has a cot in their new room and will be able to hopefully get some sleep. She's very upbeat right now, though. And I am so happy for her! They still need our prayers, they're working!
