January 31, 201511 yr Glad to hear PH is improving! Mr and Mrs PH are such good people and I hate seeing them go through this. I know Mrs PH has to be worn out, God love her! Praying for continued progress and more good news! Thanks for the updates, rockmom!
January 31, 201511 yr I talked with Mrs PH a few minutes ago. Above all else, she is thankful for everyone's prayers, and she asks that we please continue with that. Not much to add to what rockmom has already reported, that pretty much covers it. The best part about the psychosis is PH doesn't know much about what is going on, which I think is a blessing. She said right now PH thinks he is trapped in a Mexican Jail. :lol2:
February 1, 201511 yr Author No news today, which she and I are taking as good new. Keep praying! Mrs.PH is attributing all his improvement to the power of BGP prayer.
February 4, 201511 yr Author No changes really, other than he passed a swallow test and they're trying to get him to eat some soft foods that he won't. They were finally able to schedule a one on one nurse for him tonight, so Mrs.PH gets to leave for the first time in almost 2 weeks for a well-deserved night with her mom, dad and brother. Keep those prayers coming!
February 6, 201511 yr Author I got to speak to PH tonight! He's eating now and still slips into delerium from time to time, but he thanks everyone for pulling for him! Prayers are still needed, he has a very long road ahead. There is concern his kidneys won't regain function and he has terrible pressure sores that have to be dealt with. But he has taken great strides in his recovery!

February 7, 201511 yr Author Today's new is concerning. A CAT scan was done, and PH has had a massive stroke. They're not sure when, and they can't treat him for stroke right now. He'll be moved to the stroke unit tonight. Please offer up prayers for him, and pray for strength for MrsPH.

February 7, 201511 yr Author Just spoke with Mrs PH. Today is a better day. PH finally slept last night! And he has been more lucid today, answering most questions correctly. He has talked his nurse's ear off about football and BGP He knew Mrs.PH's mother when she came to see him. Mrs PH finally slept all night and sounds so much more like herself today The kidney doctor came to discuss his kidney function with him. MrPH asked if there really is a chance the function will come back. The doctor said there is, but it may not, did PH want to live with dialysis the rest of his life. PH said "YES, I want to live." It seems his recovery will be a game of inches, and at this point, God is the coach. Keep praying, people, because MrsPH firmly believes that prayer is the key here. And given all the news from there, the doctor's do as well.
February 9, 201511 yr Author If there ever was a testament to the power of prayer, today's news is that testament. I am just off the phone with PH and Mrs PH. He thanks everyone for their prayers, not just for him but for Mrs.PH He was in his wheelchair, out for a spin with MrsPH to get some fresh air! He was completely lucid, talking about missing the football banquet and thanking us for our prayers. He learned today EVVERYTHING that he's been through and what he faces. He, MrsPH and even his surgeon all agree that where he is now is due to prayer and God...there's no other explanation. So, I pass along their sincere and profound gratitude and ask that the prayers continue!
