I could see Mike Woolf applying. Isn't he a CCH grad. Wouldn't be far fetched for him to bring Warner back if he got the job. They were the last ones to beat Highlands.

 

I have been told that Mike Woolf is "done" with Cov Cath. He was invited by Cov Cath to apply for the football head coaching position after it was vacated when Coach Rodenberg left for Roger Bacon in '07. My understanding is that Woolf came in with salary requirements and was told by Cov Cath that they couldn't meet them. Then in '09 after the departure of Coach Brossart, Cov Cath did not invite Woolf to apply, assuming his salary requirements would again prevent him from being a viable candidate for the job. Coach Woolf felt extremely slighted by that, and has since told numerous people around Northern Kentucky that he is "done" with Cov Cath.

 

If true, it's a shame. Mike is a great football mind, a great coach, and a great guy.

Mike Woolf is a great guy and great Coach. My only fear with him would be he is a defensive coach.

 

CCH needs a coach that can get it right on offense and that coach needs to find a DC that can hold his own.

If they follow the basketball model for success, they should look for a coach, who has an elite caliber son, currently playing at a school in New Jersey. So with that is there an asssistant at Don Bosco Prep that fits the bill.

Coach Merritt from Christopher Columbus HS has some recent relevant NKy experience.
