It looks like he has current issues being the the head basketball coach. Is this a dating profile.

Coach Merritt from Christopher Columbus HS has some recent relevant NKy experience. #hehasason

 

He wouldn't have a booster at CCH that would stroke a check to charter a plane.

Remember that any coach will have to be a teacher.

CovCath has a non written policy that the 3 major head coaches be in the school during the day

 

While that has always been the practice, it is not a policy (not even unwritten) per the AD.

Mr. Bob Rowe (Principal) think's big and outside the box, I expect something bold and strong.

From an outsiders point of view who rarely post in my many years....good luck in getting a coach. The same comments are made each time they hire a new football coach. The parents have to offer positive support to whoever gets the Job. Let the coaches do there job without looking over their shoulder of the AD. Most of all...have fun....life is way to short.

Not familiar with him, what's his coaching record? Where has he coached?

He knows the kids, better than anyone I can think of. Coaching the CYF and coaching the kids in 7th and 8th grade. Ted has been shadowing that program for quite a few years now. He coached on staff for the 11-12 season was then moved to Freshamn HC. He would be able to keep some of Wirth's staff due to personal relationships he had made with him.

 

Most important reason, the kids are familiar with him and from what i have seen, love him. 14-15-16-17 year old boys aren't the best and most responsive when it comes to change, if Ted was offered the job, which he would love the opportunity, he would hit the ground running. The program wouldn't miss a beat.

 

Oh and did I mention he is a perfect 1 and 0 as a head coach against Highlands lol!

Why not Dudley Hilton?

I was told a Moeller assistant (Crable, maybe?) Might be who the Colonels look at to fill the position.

 

Bob crable was or is not an assistant at moeller. His son Matt was the qb and playing at a D2 school next year. Bob coached moeller 8-10 years ago as the head coach. I wouldnt rule it out. I've heard from others close to bob say he would consider coaching after Matt goes to college. SATURDAY games in park hills may hurt that when. Grand valley plays on Saturdays.
