The One Player You Wish You Could've Watched

Featured Replies

I would watch Koufax and Gibson pitch.

Watch Stan Musial, Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, and Pete Rose play.

If I had to pick one, Koufax would be the guy. If I could just watch him in ST drop curves into a bucket behind home plate.

Babe Ruth.

I missed him by that much.

It's hard to choose between Ruth & Mays, but I'll go with Ruth.

Mantle before injuries took their toll.

Roberto Clemente and Bob Gibson. I've seen films, but watching those guys on a regular basis live would have been a thrill. I just missed them.

Another I would be fascinated to watch play is Jackie Robinson.

To just name one player, I would say Babe Ruth.

Others I would love to have seen play include:

Ted Williams

Ty Cobb

Stan Musial

Lou Gehrig

Joe DiMaggio

Sandy Koufax

Walter Johnson

Nolan Ryan.

I got to watch most of his career...just hardly ever played on very good teams. But every 4th or 5th day you knew the Ryan Express would be pulling in.

The Flying Dutchman

Greatest shortstop of all time.

Loved watching Blyleven pitch. What a great hammer he had.

Ted Williams

Stan Musial

Babe Ruth

Hank Aaron

Bob Gibson

Satchel Paige

Koufax

Ty Cobb

So hard to list them all really. I think it would have been awesome to have been born in the late 30's and watch the golden era of baseball.
