Patriots 45 Colts 7

Gotta hand it to the Pats. In the last 13 years, they have now been to 9 AFC Championship games and 6 Super Bowls. When you think about it, that is crazy.

The difference in Brady and Manning is the post season...

Did ANYBODY think prior to the game that the Colts had a snowball's chance?

Dome teams don't win on the road (outside) in playoffs, except that one guy who just kept running to Leavenworth.

Colts would win 2 games without luck.

I think they win more than two games, but I felt all along the Colts and the Bengals were the two worst teams in the playoffs so this game didn't surprise me. As I said in another thread, I sure am glad the Patriots didn't collapse like the Broncos did last week. A Seattle / Indy Super Bowl would not have been worth watching.

Not really but had to take them to make up ground in the contest.

Continues to amaze me why so many organizations are slow to, or realize why they shouldn't model the top NFL teams success. One key factor is the top teams owners dabble in their NFL teams and let risk taking professionals make decisions for them ( their teams are a hobby, don't account for their livelihood, the owners that is) . Proven CEOs who delegate wisely and hold key leaders accountable.

Cue why the others....ahem, Bengals aren't?

Other than the Patriots, the AFC was pretty bad this season IMO.

Baltimore did not have a spectacular regular season, but they played a phenomenal game against the Patriots in the divisional round. If they had played to that level in the regular season, they would have won 12-13 games.

Also, if Pittsburgh had not lost Bell, or , if they gave Lagarret Blount a few more carries, they could have went deep in the playoffs.

Quite an amazing stat I read the other night. Luck is around 80% of the Colts total offense. Thankfully their front office is a joke and will never get farther than they got this year.

A lot of "ifs" in there.
