Why wouldn't NCC open the job up? I know they are loyal but there are a few very good coaches who would be interested in the job. Not sure Grant is ready for this move. Unless Ron Dawn joins him on the sidelines.

Its a shame because Rob is a heckuva coach, hasnt made too many fans up at NCC but a very knowledgable coach. I can't believe they would not look outside for a replacement.

I heard Detzel was out, but thats the first I heard Brannen being the lock replacment.

I've communicated with Brannen 3-4 days ago and I believe he's in, not sure on the A.D. move.

I am hearing from some reliable people that Detzel will indeed accept the AD job, and Brannen will be the new Thoroughbreds head basketball coach.

WOW!!! I heard Detzel was on his way out, but I can't believe they named Grant Brannen the coach already. He is very young. Was he the Freshman or JV coach. Plenty of coaches out there would have loved to have this job, and I can think of one in particular that might be heavily interested.
