January 4, 201511 yr Now that I have had time to process. This was simple the Colts didn't let the Bengals run the ball and the DL had no pressure. The DL has been the biggest disappointment this whole season. When Burkhead is playing basically a WR, then you have issues in that department. AD is never going to do it by himself. He just isn't that guy. However, this wasn't on him. Once the Colts committed to stop the run, AD actually aired it out a few times, but it certainly didn't look like the receivers had separation. No excuses, they were beaten by the better team today. I am not shocked.
January 4, 201511 yr Bottom line is in the third quarter, down by only three at the half, and getting the second half kickoff, going four three and outs was game over. I know injuries were very tough to overcome, but the Patriots and Brady lost 4 of the top 5 receivers from the previous year last year for the WHOLE YEAR, and made it to the AFC championship. At some point Daulton has to step up and MAKE plays. Now granted the play calling was pretty bad today, but at some point your leader needs to make something positive happen. The defense played pretty good considering they were basically out on the field the entire second half, but with no help from your offense, it gets pretty dishartening. The Bengals are stuck with Daulton, so the best they can do is try to build as much as they can around him so he can "manage" the game. I am not bashing him as a person, I am sure he is a very good guy, but he has taken the team as far as he can. As far as Marvin, I think he is doing a good job with the cards that are dealt to him. Just remember the days of Bruce Coslet, Dick Lebeau, and everyone's favorite Bengals coach, Dave Shula. Yes it can get a lot worse. Comparing Belichick and Brady to Marvin and Dalton is like comparing Gametime's avatar to Roseanne Barr...

Didn't hear a word, but I'd suspect he said something to the effect of: "We just need to execute better" "It's hard with all the injuries" "I like my QB" "Stay the course, no time to panic" "We've got to keep chopping wood" Etc. :puke::puke:

Yes, I want them to win but I am living in reality, which is why I never get up a lot on them, if they would win? Great! If not? Same old Bengals. I find it hilarious that people ALWAYS want to make excuses for them, it's always this or that, or something else. Some people always want to make excuses and always say "next year this or next year that". Instead of realizing that Marvin is horrible, And there are a lot of other issues we all know about. It doesn't matter who was injured, every team has injuries. The injury excuse is the latest in a long line of excuses. If it wasn't for injuries it would be something else, such as the worse clock management you will ever see in football. The team and organization is horrible! Some may not agree, but until the Bengals can win just one playoff game, The above is 100% correct!
January 5, 201511 yr My son is 27. He has no memory of a Bengal playoff win. What's even sadder is your son was still in High School when Marvin was hired.
January 5, 201511 yr Let's pretend a little here... Let's say the Bengals actually win a playoff game next year and then lose the following week. How can anyone actually be happy with that and think Marvin is a good coach? He would be 1-7 in post season. Yet there will be many that think that 1 win erases a decade of his ineptude.
